So I take a break from the forums for a couple days and my thread turns into exactly what I wanted it to, people actually discussing their thoughts on the topic I pointed out in the game. I post an idea and an argument as to why I feel the way I do, then go on to ask for other people's insights and all I get back is "you need to stop complaining" or "you need to learn how to play the game better". This is why I get so frustrated with half of you people on this forum. You can never have a good discussion on things related to the game, just the person pointing out different things who sees things differently than you. Seriously, grow up people. I have worded very few of my posts in the form of complaints, but because you don't agree and have a different perspective and don't want that aspect of the game to change, you have to turn it into a personal war instead of having a serious, grown-up discussion on the topic. So thank you to everyone that posted after Goufunaki.
The only one turning this into a personal war is you. Some people, even me, tried giving suggestions to you only to have it fall on deaf ears, then you make lame comebacks at people. Honestly, it's not making yourself look any better, and that's probably why some people here keep poking fun at you since you make yourself an easy target.
Havent read every post in the forum but my input for the cannons should have a drop break limit.
Three deaths with the gun and it disappears.
Ive played whole matches while never running out of T energy because I just picked up every one of my kill's supply. It comes out to about a 1 to 1 basis.
Suiciders for Tenergy is a big thing too apparently
I like that idea. I find myself picking up what to me is a rocket launcher, and wasting all the ammo as fast as possible just so it will disappear. And suiciding so you can get more "ammo" is such a coward's way out, especially if you're playing a kills match.
By that logic, ALL energy based weapons (Including VS Weapons) should drop on the sole fact they have the potential to be unlimited and lets get rid of the the T-Eng based Abilities while we're at it as they are of no use either with that logic. No offense, but that seems just petty statement to those that use the Plasma Cannons. And if you're wondering, no I don't use Plasma Cannons, I just hate that idea.

Honestly, the tools to survive most anything are already in the game. It's up to the player to use them, and get good with them.
It's frustrating watching people try to nerf things as opposed to learn how to counter. It doesn't make for a balanced game at all by nerfing things. Why? No matter what happens to something, something else is just going to pop up for nerfing. Hell, there's what? 3 separatate topics by the OP alone to nerf things?
The game's going to be so bland by the time everything is "balanced" because everything will just be a shell of what it used to be including the game itself as it ends up being steered towards other shooters as opposed to actually being somewhat original.
LP2 isn't made to be super easy despite the latest patches. You'll die in the game. You'll die in PvP especially. Weapons are made to kill you, yet you can avoid being killed by staying mobile, rolling, jumping, anchoring, etc.
I dunno, I just fear if capcom is listening, and just decides to nerf everything into the same weapon no matter what you pick the game will just die, and that's heart breaking considering what the game gives us.
Bleh.

When the first reply is "you need to stop complaining", that's not being very helpful. Telling me how to avoid such attacks isn't helpful either, I already know. I'm just expressing my opinion and looking for other people's opinions on the topic. There are a select few of you that do nothing but complain about every post I make. So sorry if you feel so threatened by my posts that they might actually help change some dynamics of the game. If you don't like it, then argue with me and prove that I'm wrong rather than attack me and try to cut down my post, trying to make it look as though it lacks any real insight. Like I said before, this isn't politics.

All other weapons run out of ammo and disappear. The only way to get T-Eng weapons off the map is to launch the wielder off the edge, usually resulting in a suicide, rather than a kill. Why should T-Eng weapons always be there and ammo-based weapons disappear? I personally don't find that very balanced.

I did suggest that instead of nerfing the plasma cannon, you could increase the capabilities of the rocket launcher. So there's an alternative. The only other thing I suggested be nerfed is fire-based weapons because there is nothing to balance that out, but I also suggested that there be more survival techniques implemented to help balance it out. Several people have posted that the stun needs to be turned down and while I don't agree with this, I simply ignored it and didn't give those posts the attention it wanted. All you're doing is keeping threads alive that you disagree with. The purpose of my posts are to see if people agree or disagree with my ideas or have any additional, better, or different ideas. I'm literally begging for a valid argument which very rarely happens. Please state reasons as to why you disagree, rather than just saying that I'm wrong and I need to stop complaining. Prove me wrong and put me in my place. Getting people to agree that I'm complaining doesn't help you win an argument.

Oh I know, but if you consistantly die with a T-Eng based weapon, it's always waiting right where you die. Perhaps after three deaths while holding the weapon, it could respawn elsewhere.

So I disagree with it? That's not the point of my post per say. I posted my thoughts on the entirity of the nerf posts, and this thread was in the right place at the right time, or wrong ones depending on your view. How long this thread last doesn't matter to me all that much, one way or the other.
Are you looking at the pros in using a rocket over a plasma cannons? I don't think you've listed one.
Like range. Can you deny rockets have superior range?
Manual reloading is not always a bad thing. It makes you more careful about how you shoot. That's sniper mentality.
Regardless Plasma Cannons aren't exactly machineguns either. Plasma weapons have a lag between each shot, and can overheat denying access to firing longer than it takes to reload.
Lets not forget that being at 0 t-energy will kill you without an ability. Rockets won't hurry that process at all unlike energy hungry plasma cannons.
Lets look at projectile velocity. Rockets win there, do they not?
While both are excellent in damage, Rockets, last I checked, still do more damage. Perhaps even far more.
With that in mind, plasma would likely be better vs Soft targets. If you're in a match with all soft targets it won't matter much. Rocket damage is meant to be anti-VS, don't you think?
Plasma Cannons aren't all that silent. Their projectiles may well be.
What about accuracy? A rocket can slip into tight spaces far easier than a large energy ball, or a spread that'll likely defeat itself if it hits an obstacle.
What about the fact that with energy weapons one has to go out of their way for t-energy? This may be a mixed blessing depending on the map, the mode, etc. If a person can't get a good supply of energy, then they're effectively out of ammo, and in danger of dying of 0 t-eng on top of that.
While I understand you prefer the simple Rocket Launcher, lets look at some pros of other Rocket Launchers.
RL2 allows for target tracking which no other heavy weapon boasts.
RL SP allows for mortar shots which means they're long range grenades. What other weapon can you reliably get your hands on arcs like that short of a grenade that'll have far less range? Further SPs have a clip.
In the end, don't be afraid to change your equipment now and then. Personal bias won't get you far if you're using the wrong weapon in the wrong situation. Lost planet 2 is all about the right equipment for the right job even though some might make decent stand ins. No weapon makes the other completely obsolete thanks to that. They all have strong points they're geared towards more than others. Each weapon is unique (Cept maybe the gold ones. I dunno.) so look at the benefits of all the weapons.
Plasmas are likely meant to be used against fleshy targets. Rockets are likely intended to be anti-hard target. Regardless, the Rocket's range, and speed of projectile is an asset.
IMO asking for buffs, and/or nerfs ain't going to work if you refrain from looking at the pros and cons of both sides.

I 3rd this, im getting real sick of seeing all these "this weapon needs to be nerfed" topics. and im getting pretty sick of the 1 person whos posting all of them...
