Are you trying to provoke me? I'm really sick of you people calling it "complaining". I'm trying to raise a valid argument. I have to agree with others that say all you seem to do is complain. Also, it'd be nicer if you kept all of your suggestions in one thread instead of flooding this place with multiple negative topics (or just post them all in Deaco's suggestion thread).


 


You're making suggestions to improve the game, and that's fine. But when someone says something you don't like, you throw a hissy fit about it as though you're the only one who knows what the situation is with this game. And you proved that by trying to act tough when you threw a huge fit at kaos when you could have easily ignored him.


 


The things that are killing you that you want so much to be changed are already being avoided by other people just fine. You're not at a disadvantage by using a regular rocket launcher either. My suggestion would be to just hook up with your friends in player matches and just practice avoiding the plasma cannons and other weapons or effects that keep killing you.

Havent read every post in the forum but my input for the cannons should have a drop break limit.


Three deaths with the gun and it disappears. 


 


Ive played whole matches while never running out of T energy because I just picked up every one of my kill's supply. It comes out to about a 1 to 1 basis. 


Suiciders for Tenergy is a big thing too apparently

Like all weapons, the plasma cannons comes with a big disadvantage, especially if you are playing on ranked matches. Of course on player matches, where abilities are turned on, we can all admit the plasma cannon is way tooo effective and cheap. Even so, in ranked, the plasma cannon is a huge hassle. many times when i game i lose all my energy in which i have to suicide myself in order to find a player to steal their energy. commiting all out rampages with my grenades just for a measley 200 t-eng, maybe less.


The Plasma cannons come with the greatest risk in the game, losing t-eng, which i believe is a great game mechanic. It adds tactics to the game and forces players to actually play how LP2 is meant to be. Kill one another just for a small amount of t-eng, regardless of the amount. Follow the way of the LP2 pirates


The only time everyone can rage about plasma cannon campers, are those who camp near a t-eng supplier. Then we can all rage and throw our controllers and complain about the plasma cannon USER, and not the weapon.

T energy is a joke unless on Thunderfall Precipus(or what ever its called) where VS's now require a massive ammount of T-energy with Patch #1.


I never have trouble with that gun and keeping it up on even the smallest maps. 


There is always going to be a balancing issue with a gun that cannnot be depleted. Rifle SP - 8 kills and its gone, Plasma rifle - Average 11 or so in a round.

I dunno...I mean the plasma cannon takes quite a long time just to hit the spot while your aiming, so you should be able to dodge that from a distance.. Plasma Cannon SP doesn't even have high enough range to hit a target far away. A shot of plasma also takes up 600 T-ENG, players only manage to get 2000 everytime they spawn as well. Also not every map has T-ENG suppliers(those stuff and you stand near it and it gives you T-ENG). Also the Plasma Cannon can overheat which takes quite a long time to cool down so its sort of fair. I recommend you stay away from the plasma cannon's, plasma cannon SP wont be able to reach you. Plasma cannon you hopefully will be able to roll away from it. Also, it's hard for a person to keep having T-ENG. Collecting T-ENG from dead enemies only gives you roughly 600 T-ENG its self. However, I have to admit that the Rocket Launcher II is WAY better then both of them. I personally stay away and just fire my homing missile and watch my free kills rolling in. =]

Hm, man?!?!?!. I remember I was like you complaining about the Plasma Cannon SP(not plasma cannon). Then I faced reality. Keep distance from that person. I suggest you roll backwards, grapple on to a wall quickly, or just stay a good distance away from the user using it. No guns are overpowered, everything has a weakness once you think bout it. I remembered you complained about the incendiary grenade being overpowered and all that, you still got a chance to live unlike a regular grenade that kills you in one hit instantly. You should be left with a sliver of health, thats enough to get into a vs and maybe do one more kill... Seriously, the games fine as it is. Every gun has a weakness, just get use to it. If your still INSISTING it doesn't have a weakness, I suggest you use the cannon yourself then. Sick of these whiners, what do they want? The rocket launcher having a nuke explosion?

For the most part I agree with you, the PC & PC SP are far superior choices to the RL or RLII.   Their only draw back is range... where a Rocket can be fired clear cross map the PC's shots do have a limited range (but for most maps its still far enough not to matter).  Reload time is another issue.  I agree this classification could be better balanced.

So I take a break from the forums for a couple days and my thread turns into exactly what I wanted it to, people actually discussing their thoughts on the topic I pointed out in the game. I post an idea and an argument as to why I feel the way I do, then go on to ask for other people's insights and all I get back is "you need to stop complaining" or "you need to learn how to play the game better". This is why I get so frustrated with half of you people on this forum. You can never have a good discussion on things related to the game, just the person pointing out different things who sees things differently than you. Seriously, grow up people. I have worded very few of my posts in the form of complaints, but because you don't agree and have a different perspective and don't want that aspect of the game to change, you have to turn it into a personal war instead of having a serious, grown-up discussion on the topic. So thank you to everyone that posted after Goufunaki.

I like that idea. I find myself picking up what to me is a rocket launcher, and wasting all the ammo as fast as possible just so it will disappear. And suiciding so you can get more "ammo" is such a coward's way out, especially if you're playing a kills match.

It could be, and that's what I'd like to figure out. Maybe instead of decreasing the potential of the plasma cannons, the rocket launchers could be made better. Like a bigger explosion/hit radius or a faster reload time. One thing that really annoyed me last night was when I would roll a plasma cannon or plasma cannon sp, I would be blinded and then get hit again right away before I could even react. The whole screen practically turns white. Now this isn't an issue with the rocket launcher because the wielder has to reload after firing, but the plasma cannons just overheat after a few shots, thus requiring less technical movements when battling it out with someone.
