I'll have the product manager bring this to the team and to Nvidia. I suspect a driver issue.

I personally don't think its a driver issue. I think its a game issue. Otherwise all nvidia users using X drivers would have the issue (or all 8800 users, how ironic). Also the demo works fine. I think its a game issue..., which is totally lame. A patch i believe wouild fix it.., summins def up with the game.
Im totally annoyed that my £30 has gone right down the drain. If it was incompatibility.., thats fair enough as that can be fixed. However the fact that the game doesnt even start as in get to menu screen is totally unacceptable..., considering my hardware is more then adequate to run this game.

agreed, it's an issue with the game, not drivers. I am frustrated as well, but i'm happy as long as it's fixed eventually and i can finish the game. i got to the point where i was so sucked in and ready to beat it when it stopped working. such a tease :(
i've tried many drivers along with a fresh install of vista/lost planet/steam and just about all nVidia drivers that have come out in the last 3 months.

To all those hoping the 1.003 patch would sort out this issue it doent. Just like i said it would'nt. Crapcom and/or Scream don't give a **** about their users... I assume now that a fix is not provided in the most recent patch, this issue will never be resolved (without formatting although my pc is 100% up to date and works in all other games). Capcom are fine in consoles, but when it comes to pc it's just another ****ty, incompatible port. I really want my £30 back.....

It did not fix it for me either. I've tried another fresh install of vista and still the same thing.
fresh drivers/vista/DX10/steam/and fresh download of lost planet and STILL the same issue, just with a different error code.
i don't understand it.

Yeah ive given up hope on this game working tbh. If capcom/steam cared about whatever is causing the conflict/error they would have fixed it by now. If it was an nvidia issue I know nvidia sponsored the launch of lost planet and released a new driver when the game just totally crashed on X driver (i forget the number) so they probably would have released a fix or new driver by now. It's been almost a month since launch and nothing so unfortunatele K31TH3R I would'nt hold your breath over this issue ever getting fixed. They just don't care one they have your money.., and since it's not everyone their is 0 insentive for them to fix it anytime soon if at all.
If only I actually bought a copy of the disc, then i could have sold it on ebay bah!

158.45 is the driveryou should be using for Vista (not 158.24)
I've gotten halfway through the game using the 158.24 driver. Nvidia has a beta driver that is supposedly providing improved LP support. Perhaps that would help.

lol ppl keep coming back to the drivers, but those who have the issue have tried most drivers from 158.45 to 163.11.

It is NOT a driver issue. would you ppl stop blaming drivers and fix the game :mad:
I assure you the list of drivers have gone trough my machine from bottom to top, and no go!
If ANY f the dev ppl have run tests with different drivers, and not have the problem come forth and share your wisdom please. I have 18 years of computer experience so im not the "problem exist between chair and keyboard ppl" And i bet that a lot of the users in here do not have the same problem either!
In case I have f***ed up my asessment about drivers I apologize! But until you have proven me wrong im standing my ground on this one!
