What is the difference besides one looking cooler then the other?

Machine Gun I - Has a more concentrated rate of fire, better for long range Machine Gun II - Fires faster with less concentration, runs out of ammo faster, I think does more damage, I think has less range That's the best I can explain it, anyone feel free to correct me and/or add to it.

Where do you find out info like that?

By testing it in-game. My friends and I like to go into private matches and test out a bunch of stuff.

Funny fact i have no chance with the MG2 but with MG1 i get some serious kills.

I do actually have problems with ammo capacity, but I had no idea it was the guns fault. I had to change shooting style to burst fire, to maintain ammo to kill. Especially when they are trying to roll all over the place, but if its the stronger gun, it would be my weapon of choice anyways. Only problem with that is that it leaves them alot of chances to get hits off on to me, preventing me from shooting.

I see it like this: Machine Gun I: Fully Automatic Assault Rifle Machine Gun II: SMG Style variant Machine Gun SP: Semi Automatic Assault Rifle
Support NEVEC in MVC3!Click Here![Currently Playing: BFBC2, LP2, MHTri] The Rebellion Army owns you now... My MegaMan preference for MVC3 would had been Starforce, but yeah sure, I'll jump on this bandwagon, if X does indeed get in as DLC, there better be gamers playing as him or else this would had been a waste of time and missed opportunity for another Capcom Character...

but i notice that its difficult to hit the grenades with MG1, with the MG2 its a lot easier, but the reason could also be lag or the faster rof.
