This **** has me so pissed off, but I'm not going to go into a rant because it won't change anything. Capcom, nor Spark, had any type of community engagement and it shows badly.

From the videos posted by Hipol and the one I posted, I'll just list a few of thing that have me shaking my head:

We were told that grappling wold be like previous LPs but alas it isn't. There are only designated places where you can grapple, and those place have to have a flat surface above it...

Unless every player playing had a health regen ability, which I really hope is the case but if it is not, health regen is automatic. So you'll see a lot of people take damage run and hide to regen like nothing happen. Which leads me to (Edit: after watching the survival video, it looks like indeed everyone has autoregen)...

Rolling was barely used when engaged by an enemy, which lends the theory we already had that there are no invincibility frames in the roll, and not be useless a defense mechanic...

No one popped a grenade...

Looks like T-Eng has been relegated to a kill streak mechanic and nothing more...

None of the energy-based weapons consume T-Eng...

Did not see one data post...

No radar (this one isn't a real big issue)...

The map shown seems very "linear" and choke point based. And seemed to only have 1 level of verticality... something that previous LPs were not...

From a shooters point of view, the game looks OK. From an LP point of view, game looks is looking garbage. I guess when I play I'll have to keep the mindset that this game is pretty much LP only in name and not gameplay.

I think the thing that really gets me is that, for all the changes they made, they didn't add anything creative to compensate for what they took away. I think this is the biggest issue.

Man.... It's the big one.

And yes the absent Radar is an issue, battling for survelliance was a huge part of the Metagame for LP.

So I can't remember, but has Spark ever came out and explained why they decided to not implement the ability to jump in this game?

Watching the MP videos I was thinking to myself I would have jumped there in quite a few scenarios they guy playing found himself in.  The game play just looks real restrictive like your characters is glued to the ground.  Also the camera is zoomed in a little to close for my liking, hopefully you can change the camera view.

VS's action in first-person view Triste  will probably get motion sickness. Oh well, looks like I'll have to wait 3-4 years to see what the new Lost Planet will offer.

We all better hope like hell that Capcom even considers another LP after this game.

It's really nice to finally see something of the game's multiplayer, but I'm still a bit worried. Hopefully the servers are better than Lost Planet 2's.... I remember shooting the heck out of someone, only to find out they weren't there anymore.....

They probabaly didn't implement it because they have no idea how to make a good video game.

@Jwhude

haha, indeed.

Capcom handed one of their big franchises over to a horrible studio, which failed with most of their games.

Multiplayer looks horrible!

Explosions and effects in general look pathetic. Graphics are a huge let down. Animations of the acrids look stiff and not like it was made by a professional team/designer. First person view only in VS - a no go for me. No other VSs in the entire game - go away. The multiplayer encounters look generic. No jumping - just lol, whoever came up with that @ Spark Unlimited clearly hasn't played any of teh LP games before. And what's with the huuuuge reticles?

The whole game(!) looks like it has nothing to do with a LP game. Campaign will be boring as well, I don't even need to play it to say that. Thermal energy is just used as currency now, not as a resource for strategic usage. Main character looks like he doesn't belong into the universe. Just like in multiplayer, the Acrids look horrible, bad animated and not detailed enough. Combined with the ugly graphics engine it already makes clear what LP3 will be: The worst game in the series.

LP3 is another poor attempt of transforming a hardcore title into a generic game, everyone can play. A game made for the broad mass. That's why you can't jump, grapple hook everywhere, no Thermal Energy etc etc.

Everything what made the previous games special has been taken away (by Spark Unlimited). Holy mother of....Gordon!

So I ask: Why should I even play this game over, let's say, all the other generic shooter out there coming with their own unique fleshed out features (not to mention most games look better than this garbage)? What's the point, Capcom? Why even allowing Spark Unlimited to RAPE the Lost Planet series? You are unhappy with RE6 sales? Well, bet what will happen with LP3.

Not gonna buy, I'm out. Have fun and good day ^^

A disappointed LP player.

That and they show the same 3 guns and perks being used in every video. I mean, honestly I don't think this will be a bad game, just a bad Lost Planet game.

EDIT: Also is it too much to ask to see some sniper rifle footage? I mean really spark.
