This **** has me so pissed off, but I'm not going to go into a rant because it won't change anything. Capcom, nor Spark, had any type of community engagement and it shows badly.
From the videos posted by Hipol and the one I posted, I'll just list a few of thing that have me shaking my head:
We were told that grappling wold be like previous LPs but alas it isn't. There are only designated places where you can grapple, and those place have to have a flat surface above it...
Unless every player playing had a health regen ability, which I really hope is the case but if it is not, health regen is automatic. So you'll see a lot of people take damage run and hide to regen like nothing happen. Which leads me to (Edit: after watching the survival video, it looks like indeed everyone has autoregen)...
Rolling was barely used when engaged by an enemy, which lends the theory we already had that there are no invincibility frames in the roll, and not be useless a defense mechanic...
No one popped a grenade...
Looks like T-Eng has been relegated to a kill streak mechanic and nothing more...
None of the energy-based weapons consume T-Eng...
Did not see one data post...
No radar (this one isn't a real big issue)...
The map shown seems very "linear" and choke point based. And seemed to only have 1 level of verticality... something that previous LPs were not...
From a shooters point of view, the game looks OK. From an LP point of view, game looks is looking garbage. I guess when I play I'll have to keep the mindset that this game is pretty much LP only in name and not gameplay.
I think the thing that really gets me is that, for all the changes they made, they didn't add anything creative to compensate for what they took away. I think this is the biggest issue.
