I've been playing a couple of rounds recently and I noticed one move that has escaped my knowledge. How are people doing a dodge-like move? They jump to the side, or something to that effect. I couldn't figure out how to do it.
Also, the stun animation while getting hit by something like a machine gun needs to be toned down. It leaves you almost no way to return fire unless they miss, they run out of a clip, or you somehow dodge out of the way long enough to return fire.
Also, kind of need a headcount of who actually has the special multiplayer map. I haven't found ANYONE playing it =(

Lost Planet multiplayer needs better health loss notification --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whether it's blood, red arrows or strong rumble. Right now it's really hard to realize you are being shot and hurt. There is a slight jerking animation on your charachter when you are being shot, but the game is so frantic that it really isnt noticable.
The top lefthand corner healthbar is really hard to notice. I think it is fine for single player, never had an issue with it, but when you are playing 16 player multiplayer, it's a much more frantic experiance and even checking that health bar at the top left corner takes you out of the zone so to speak.
The main reason this is needed is because thegame has so much blur, excellent HDR, tons of explosions etc, there is so much going on visually, that sometimes it's hard to actually realize you are being hit.
Myself and many gamers are talking about this issue on the Gaming Age forums, I'm glad they directed me towards this thread. Any aid that you are being hurt would be excelent for multiplayer. Whether it's visual, rumble audible or a combination of the three. Thanks.

So far the demo is pretty fun but I also have a few complaints: -I would really like a lobby that you can stay in game after game. -To see how many players are in a game before you join. -Able to invite friends. -I really hate where when you're getting shot you can't do anything about it. You guy just stands there spazzing out until you die. -The VS seem really underpowered. I shot a missile directly at someone and they just stood back up and killed me with a michine gun. -More distinguishable teams. It is very hard to tell the teams apart especially from a distance. I've gotten killed by too many team mates. -A lower theremal energy counter. It seems like this game could turn into a camping game. A lower thermal energy counter would make people not stay in one place for a long time just sniping. It should also be like in story mode where when you kill someone you can pick up more thermal energy. -Some of the weapons seem unbalanced and it shouldn't take so many hits to kill someone. (at least in the deathmatch mode) -Maybe clan support.
So far the demo is pretty good but if Capcom could fix this it would be great! This man speaks the truth, I highly agree with the whole getting shot until you die. It makes your character spaz out of control and not able to do anything, this virtually makes confrontations of 2 on 1 impossible.
Clan support, and of course this is probably drilled into you guys already...but the matchmaking system is pretty bad.
More game types would be nice too.
Another thing that I've noticed is the melee attacks button. Sometimes when im trying to melee, I somehow pick up a gun or a grenade off the ground, or ill accidentally start activating a node. Maybe some other button instead of making one button so many different functionalities?
Other than that, great game guys!

Whether it's visual, rumble audible or a combination of the three. Thanks. Registered, just so I could quote this for emphasis. To paraphrase: taking damage requires much more attention grabbing indicators. Preferably ones that can give you a little information on where the fire is coming from.
gameplay is fantastic; fares very well against even Gears of War Multiplayer.
Much stronger damage indicators for damage needed.
Melee attack needs to be tweaked; currently is not only useless but a liability.
The lobby system needs drastic revamping before the game goes live; specifically, it can't be dumping you back into the root multiplayer menu everytime something other than getting into a game happens. - Also need to be able to cancel a refresh of the games list - You should be able to see how many players are in a game as of the latest refresh. - The games list should be refreshing in the background if you already have an older instance of the games list up, should only remove the old list once a new refreshed list is ready to go. - If you cancel a refresh of the list, then it should show the results thus far (primarily the rooms and the underlying connection information, even if details such as names haven't been completed yet).
As it is, the lobby system is an exercise in frustration. Along with the out of syncs and drop outs... it's simply in an unacceptable state... if the game is released like this... it'll do irreprepable harm to an otherwise utterly fantastic experience.
As for game balance... it would be nice if the T-energy could help restore player health... similar to how it is in the SP mode, where if you stop taking damage for a few seconds, the energy starts depleting (faster) in order to recharge your health. In line with that, would be nice if enemies drop T-energy upon death. Maybe even throw in the slow cold damage you take when you run out of t-energy. It would do a lot to help with the frenetic action of the gameplay. But maybe it should be made into an option rather than something standard (in case some people prefer how it is in the MP demo right now).

I've got 2 issues with the demo.
1) When I first downloaded it, every match I joined I would start outside of the map. As in physically outside of the gameworld and falling in this giant grey abyss. I could see the map off in the distance but had no way to get there and my constant falling would eventually lead to a suicide and a hit on our teams battle gauge. I had to delete and redownload the demo, at that point the problem ceased.
2) There needs to be some kind of feedback when shot. Currently there isn't a good way to tell when taking damage. Some rumble from the controller, a red flash on the screen, something to tell when I'm being hit would go a long way.

I would like to echo that the hit-stun is a bit extreme for the machine guns. Once stunned by the first shot or two, you are ineligable for returning fire, or extending a zipline out via grappling hook, etc. It is frustrating to be on the receiving end of that barrage, and when you are the one shooting the opponent it doesn't feel like you're giving them a chance.
It in effect makes the stun grenades useless, because you can do the same thing by pelting them with your plain old run of the mill machine gun.

On my topic I said this:
Yesterday in the morning I played the Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Online Demo and I found some things that would make the game alot more fun (even though it is now my favourite multiplayer and single game ever);
1) When someone shoots me it is sort of annoying because it makes the player not able to shoot which makes it a whoeven shoots first thing. 2) Announcers, it will be awesome if the answer says for example "Double Kill" or "Arctic King or something. 3) When you die you are not allowed to change your sensitvity and controls, usauly when you die would be a good time to do that inestead of needing to do it when you are alive making you more vulnarble.
Plus what everyone else said.

thought of a few extra bits...
- how do you tell which data posts belong to you? shouldn't there be an indicator to atleast let you know you have that post?
- can we have a button (say the start button) to display all the names of the people on your team in game
-announcers are dumb :D
