Just to play devil's advocate, I'd really like to see the numbers if you've got a link. LP's devs themselves, in Brian's blog interviews from way back, mentioned how the Japanese game market was changing, or had to change, and Capcom's new focus on expanding out from catering solely to Japan.

It might sound like good business, but that's because as a consumer you have a vested interest, being as you own a PS3 at the moment. I really can't presume to understand the current inner workings behind Capcom's business division but I'm pretty sure they're not looking to lose money; still I'd probably go with your second choice (ROCKETMEN, anyone up for quality?). Again, just for my own curiosity, do you have any links to sales data? I can't seem to find them on the NPD site or anywhere else? Solid data is always a good thing to have :p
Just for you Hulot, I will look it up.. just cuz you always have something to say :p .. Im just going by stuff I have read in the past.. as I read gaming news fairly regularly.. Ill find some stuff and post it.. JUST FOR YOU ;) ..
And for the record, I am not talking about only Japan. The fact is, these "consoles" are not just being marketed as gaming consoles anymore (I believe we touched on this subject before).. and in many other parts of the world, there are other factors that may affect a persons decision on what console to purchase.. Frankly Microsofts business etiquette is very much a north american style of business (see : GM, FORD, CHRYSLER).
A Ford will always sell more in the US or Canada then it ever will in Japan, and the same goes for say a Nissan in Japan, than the US. North america is slowly starting to change this as Toyota's sales figures have shown.. but I guarentee that a ****ty built Ford no matter how much HP it has will ever outsell a Toyota in Japan, a Hyundai in Korea, or a Ferrari in Italy (lol).. you get my point.
Sorry for the car comparisons.. but I speak what I know. :p

;) I was actually looking for Lost Planet numbers (but thanks!), to make sense of why Capcom went this route. I'm really beginning to think that your second option, about Capcom's lack of faith in really attaining an expanded user base on the PS3 may just be that reason, and perhaps the port was partly a cash-in and mostly a hollow gesture/obligation of their new multiplatform policy. A true sequel may yet appear on all systems.

Well obviously, if you want the full Lost Planet experiance...then get it on the 360...not the PS3.
If not, then stop complaining.
The 360 earned the sequel...which also made Xbox tons of money from subscriptions just for Lost Planet!
Until the PS3 version goes Platinum, you can't talk.
im sick of your 360 fanboyism. i first got lost planet on the 360. i enjoyed it besides the massive lag. then i got it for pc and loved it. so much better on pc than 360. and the 360 only made the money because it was first. i gaurantee you if it came out on ps3 first then 360 the ps3 would make a ton more money. or even if they came out on both at the same time. besides the ps3 version has made the top 10 selling list which the 360 version never did. and the ps3 version has been out for 3 weeks and was a horrible port. so really if you look at it the 360 version was only first thats it. so i don't know why you think because of the 360 capcom is doing perfect because of this game. it would have done better on ps3 and i think lucent agrees with me on that one. because he knows the types of games that 360 fans like to play and im telling you lost planet isn't one of them. i have tons of friends that play all the normal 360 games yet whenever im playing lost planet they just don't get it. they think its a horrible game and stupid. but that really doesn't matter now because i sold my 360 awhile back but i don't think you are seeing the big picture here. instead you are happy that you have a 360 and like lost planet and thats all that matters to you.

o ya thanks i forgot about that. it got lost somewhere when i was having to buy all the basic things for my 360. probably forgot about it because its insane to have to pay for live. idk id probualy just be better off moving to a place where people have common sense. like seriously even the chat on live was so bad i couldn't even stand listening to half those idiots. half the time they tried to sound all cool by saying im so drunk right now or saying how much weed they just smoked. lol
