I just cheched VG Chartz and the estimated total sales there are 163,112. Now in the past VG has not been the most reliable and I really hope this is the case regarding LP2 Sales. It even says sales in japan are insignificant, and i know that can't be true.
This game has definitely been hurt by the aweful reviews. I would say bad, but the reviews are worse than that, in some the only redeeming value is the looks. When people read this from two mainsteam sites, Gamespot and IGN, sales are bound to take a hit. I just wish people weren't so reliant on Gamespot or IGN, they are honestly crappy sites INHO.
Its currently ranked as a 70 (360) and 68 (PS3) on Metacritic. Which is not only used my ppl but the industry as well. I am sure Capcom knows they messed some things up and hamstringed their game. The quesiton is, are they going to patch it? And if so when? Not to be too rough, but Red Dead Redemption has already been patched once addressing flaws in the multiplayer.

The problem with that is that the likes of IGN aren't going to post a front page article saying, "Hey! It's patched! Now it's a 9.0". What's done is done, and it's unfortunate. I'm just hoping that Capcom learns from mistakes rather than abandons a relatively new franchise if it doesn't meet sales expectations. For the few bad aspects of the game (and they're there), there's a lot to love about the game.

50 people complaining about game mechanics vs EVERYONE ELSE who's enjoying the game. I hope capcom doesn't go the naughty dog route and screw up their game.

The game was recently released and if capcom can release new updates/patches as soon as they can... they can still bring in a lot of new customers although the gamesites already hurt the reputation. They can get a lot more sales this way. The same with lair... if that game have released a patch to allow you to use the sticks to control the dragons im sure many would have bought it. Many had requested that from beginning of the release but the developers were being stubborn and ignored the many request. They ended up releasing that patch like what 1 yr later? that is sooo late but people did went out and bought it because of that patch but by that time there's already a bunch of new games out which they dont care for lair anymore. I think CAPCOM should really step it up and read these requests from the forum. It will help them with the sales and make many of us very happy and loyal to the franchise. Don't worry capcom i'm already loyal but others may not be i'm gonna go play some more LP2.

No question, whats done is done, and Capcom needs to move quick!
They need to patch this sucker. Get the MP working, solve lag, make a lobby system for ranked, fix A.I. on single player, and get some of the other minor issues fixed. Then they need to go to these review companies and ask for a second opinion review to be published, AFTER the patch is released. By doing this they can slavage LP2 from the otherwise impending doom that seem to be setting in. C'mon CAPCOM time to pick things up, and get this game off to the right foot! Time is of the essence!

My problems are not really mechanics, I love the way the game plays (except maybe the Osprey gunner, wtf does that glitch around so terribly? it makes me sick)... its more design decisions that show... well either a lack of thought or play testing. For example the issue Robotboot brought up... the design flaws of the leaderboards is almost laughable, embarassingly so.

fix A.I. on single player
What exactly is wrong with them? They activate posts, kill enemies, give you thermal, and dance with you. What more could you want from them?

I agree with Ender on this one. I really don't see anything wrong with them... I started this game thinking they would be very stupid (based on what people had said about it) and found that they were much more helpful than I anticipated. Yeah, another live player would be more helpful, but for AI, they are really not that bad. I really don't see much wrong with the AI and I usually play the campaign alone. If you are talking about the opposition... I have had a couple times where a VS was coming at me and I moved into a room with the VS following me. The VS just tries walking towards me even though it can't fit through the doorway. It became an easy kill... but a tad bit disappointed.

It's annoying when they steal posts when you're trying to stock up on T-eng. They are pretty good though. They occasionally get stuck in a loop, but thats all.
