Listen, I'm a college student as well making $7.25 at 20 hrs a week, I know how it is. What I said if you paid attention was to PLAY THE GAME FOR YOURSELF. Don't rely on reviews that have been corrupted in a saturated market. I don't realy care if YOU like the game. In fact I don't care if you spend all your time playing Farmville while sitting in a bean bag chair naked eating cheetos. My point was for people to stop blasting a game. Lying about how they bought it....yeah I mean you and have the decency to play a game, judge it for yourself and don't believe everything you read. Oh, my head is out of my arse. I buy a game because 1.)I've played the demo (demos in the case of LP2) 2.) Played the previous title 3.) Watch game videos (Gametrailers.com) Not IGN's rating after playing the game for 2 hours and a little kickback Stay smart kid, it's what your mommy and daddy pay for

Why does it make since for alan wake to not have a multiplayer, (and it does make sense) but you list a weak single player in a co op game as a negative? It's like penny arcade said, "I don't think a weak single player mode in a co op game should be front page news".
I definitely see your point as that doesn't make sense, but not being able to enjoy the game alone is a weak point in the fact that you need other people to enjoy the experience. If you have plenty of people, awesome. If not, you're kind of screwed.
For instance, I love the Left 4 Dead series. Fun games. However, I haven't played them in forever because all my friends on Xbox Live sold their copies of L4D1 and most didn't purchase L4D2. I get bored very quickly playing by myself, but if I find 3 people, I can spend hours at a time on the game. In my mind, I still haven't gotten my money's worth out of L4D2 because I don't have that much time played, whereas the epic 1P games like the Resident Evil and Mass Effect series I've wasted plenty of my life on. Again, though, I'm not trying to bash LP2. Soon as I get back to my place after my last class, I'll be on it trying to find friends to finish the campaign. Guess all I want to do is defend the position of people who don't want to buy it, that way we can figure out the best way to convince them to buy it anyway ;)

Yo CreaturOfHabit. Stop being a mindless fanboy cause you're sounding like a complete ass on the forums. It's clear that you hate any statement that doesn't say "Lost Planet 2 is the bible". Every time somebody makes a complaint about Lost Planet 2, you come out of nowhere with your fanboyism and start bashing them. Dude not everyone is die hard in love with the game. I love the hell outta the game and it's all I've played since it's release but I'm old enough to accept that it is not anywhere near perfect, nor the best game I have played. Lost Planet does not appeal to everyone, just like everything else. If some one has a different opinion than you, then let them freely speak as long as it's not trolling, which by the way is not what he is doing, clearly. So get over yourself because I'm tired of seeing you whine because someone else think it's not an excellent game. And if you don't believe that's what you're doing, then recheck your posts. LostPlanet2 doesnt deserve a 10, but it sure the hell deserved better then a 6.5. im convinced that the majority of the reviewers that played the game simply didnt know what the hell they were doing. watch the videos of them playing, then listen to their complaints. they couldnt even grasp the basic game mechanics let alone get through a actual level because they considered the game to difficult. they marked the game down for their own faults not the games, its not the games fault that the reviewers had such a hard time figuring out the controller layout. its the reviewers fault for not taking the time to fully understand the game they were playing. also the things they state as being faults are gameplay mechanics that make the game unique. no game should be faulted for its gameplay mechanics unless the gameplay mechanics were broken, and the gameplay mechanics of LostPlanet are not broken.

some people like apples while others like bananas. i play LP2 almost every night now ever since I got the game. i still dont agree wth gamespot and ign. their score is waaaaay off. i think people who are afraid to get this game will miss out. this is one of those rare games that was heavily underated but loved by many. it didn't get the attention that it deserves. i have stopped MW2 and Bad company 2 just for this game, but will come back to it once in a while now. LP2 is the new chick in the corner . Game sites see it as a hooker while we see it as 'pretty woman'. to answer the dude who wants to know why people play this game by themselves. that's because they're evil. evil people dont have friends.

I'm at a loss to describe the reviews, honestly seems like they're not playing the same game as I am. Granted I use a 3rd party fps designed controller - and It's brilliant. run and gun easily. The only time i notice stiffness in the controls is in the training modes. Playing through single player campaign I was at the end of the third episode before I've even really felt like i needed a human co-op partner. I hope this game gets a real strong community around it because it's one of the best looking / designed and most fun franchises out there. Likes like you'll have a cult following with LP2 Capcom, be good to us and we'll be good to you for a long time to come.

I just cheched VG Chartz and the estimated total sales there are 163,112. Now in the past VG has not been the most reliable and I really hope this is the case regarding LP2 Sales. It even says sales in japan are insignificant, and i know that can't be true. This game has definitely been hurt by the aweful reviews. I would say bad, but the reviews are worse than that, in some the only redeeming value is the looks.When people read this from two mainsteam sites, Gamespot and IGN, sales are bound to take a hit. I just wish people weren't so reliant on Gamespot or IGN, they are honestly crappy sites INHO.
