HiPOL, I agree. This game just isn't as balanced as the original. There's just TOO MUCH in the game. I mean, for campaign, sure, but to include extremely unbalanced weapons and what not throughout the multiplayer. And there are too many asymetrical maps, and maps with tight hallways. Small levels like Friction DO NOT work with the mechanics of LP. Too many grenades and what not. And also, what is it with turrets pointing directly at key parts of the map now? The only map I can play and truely enjoy is the layouts for post grab on Cube.

Is there even any word on a patch or anything even close to one in the works? Or is Capcom going to try and pretend they don't need to do anything? Many top grade games have patches released no later than 1 month after release, some are even within weeks!


With a party system and 8 v 8 matches i think it would be very rare to find a match where its 8 friends all grouped together vs 8 strangers. Your going to have more parties of 2-4 people not 8. There absolutely needs to be a party system in player matches, ranked i'm flexible on, but player matches NEED this.

What weapons are unbalanced?




Buster Grenades on maps like Friction are rediculous. The cannon on the Turrets on Friction since you can just sit on it and aim down the hallway. The plasma cannon, since it has near infinite ammo if you have T-ENG (and works even better with Injection Gun II). There are more, but I know you will just go into fanboy mode and start defending these weapons without any intellect, and I'm not in any mood to deal with that.

Listen, whenever someone has a counter point to yours, doesn't make them a fanboy with no intellect. You're lke those guys who play sf for a week, then complain saying a character like ibuki or makoto is broken. The plasma cannon is completely impractical without t-eng weapon master 2 or the injection gun 2. If you're not in the mood to deal with people disagreeing with you, then why do you come here and post?

What pisses him off, and the same goes for myself, is people disagreeing just for the sake of disagreeing. Playing devils advocate on EVERY situation, every problem, some of you can come up with the old, "well it works like this, your just not doing it right" argument. Well, that only applies 5% of the time so yea...


Its never ending arguments on forums, just nothing anyone can do, you gotta get used to it or move on. I just hate it when people object to an obvious issue, and try to argue its not there.


Blastaar, you seem like a ok guy who just likes to defend LP2 from everyone, and i get that, i was the same way with Section 8, in my eyes that game had no flaws. Until two months later no one was playing online. Its the criticism and problems that, when fixed, will ultimately help the game get better overall.


When I come to this forum to post, i don't post bad things because i hate the game, I LOVE IT. I want it to be the best game, i want it to be my only shooter, i want my friends to say "damn your right LP2 is awesome" but when people try and de-rail you ideas and criticism, the same criticism your adding so the game might improve, it just drives you crazy.

No, I'm not. I gather things from my own, and other's experiences, think about them test them, whatever, and then I post my opinion. So far, most of your "opinions" have been falmboyant fanboy posts. I know that you have good points about things, but you defend some stuff that is well.. undefendable. You have to see that there are flaws with this game, and they need to be adressed.

Yo, i don't just blindly defend it. When people say something in inbalanced, most of the time, they haven't explored things through. Certain issues like there being no party system in player matches, and the not being able to pick up weapons if they're close to a wall are some legit issues. An issue i have is the ridiculous rubber band AI in the campaign mode. I'm sure i'm not the only one who's had an enemy headshot me as he's being flinched by my gun fire.  I get tired of seeing people state "issues that need to be fixed", when reality it's only them who have a problem. Example, say i used the E.gun sp, and got steam rolled, then came in here saying how the gun sucks and they need to make it more powerfull, then capcom does just that. Now we have an extremely broken weapon on our hands. After the crap that happened with UC2, i'm more against blind complaints than ever. People whined about the FAL in that game, they complained saying the sniper wasn't powerfull enough. Naughty dog buckled, and now we have a game where it's pointless to pick up the FAL, and the sniper is a one shot killing device. So naturally people just run around one shotting people. What was arguably the best multiplayer experience this gen, got ruined because people who couldn't hack it, moaned non stop on naughty dog forums. I'm not calling you guys whinners or whatever, i'm just saying we all need to not be so quick to use the word "unbalanced", "ruined", or "broken".
