One more for the reset monthly/weekly or those names doesn't count towards the trophy achievements. Don't found it really fair that people who bought the game first day or even dowloaded it illegaly one week before the release can have it that easily.

Agreed that would be helpful

Makes me wonder about other noms also, like Devil may cry, Street Fighter, I played the demo, BSAA, Decorated soldier, Legendary warrior. These noms basically aren't part of the game. As far as can be known, there is no way to get them solely inside the game. While this thread is mostly about improving chances at "Number 1" and "Top 10", it also mentions just making those noms unnecessary for the collect all items trophies/achievements. Which would be a good solution to some of the other noms that roughly aren't in game. A few of the noms are easy for most of us since we play more then just one Capcom game, but not many of the people playing Lost Planet 2 play all of the games. Many people didn't get the demo, though they still can. It is mostly the issue that these noms specifically require something outside of the game. So hopefully titles like "Devil may cry" either come out of the slot machine eventually, or just aren't necessary for the achievement/trophy. If they are not set for either of these methods, then they also should be patched in some way to either make them unnecessary or make them avilable to every player.

Don't wipe anything. Just remove those particular ones being needed for the trophy/achievement. Resetting will not solve the problem at all, you ALWAYS get the type of people who will wait until a reset and the moment it happens go and redo their records making the reset pointless. Pretty sure a lot of people who have busy work schedules will likely turn on the game after a reset to find people have been mashing away all day setting new records back to how they were, I mean everyone who wants these trophies/achievements will be trying it and if theres only 12 chances a year (or even 52 with a weekly reset) well you can do the math with however many hundred-thousand/millions of the game are sold. Thats ignoring people who just want to rank high on leaderboards constantly anway.
Note to delusional fanboys: You can fool yourself but you won't fool Capcom, so please stop trying.

This whole situation is ridiculous! I cannot believe they even included a training mode with an obstacle course style for such a slow character with such basic control options. He can't even use the anchor in the air and can only run for short periods. It's incredibly boring and if I really cannot get platinum without spending an eternity repeating the same mindnumbing levels over and over then I don't think i'll ever purchase a capcom game again!!! The other noms de guerre are bad enough as you don't even know how they unlock, but this really takes it too far! If It was a fast fluid character then it would at least be enjoyable. They may as well have put you in a tank!

There are other ways your supposed to get through the course, for instance, Course 1 Level 1 in Basic training, when your grappling up ledges, your supposed to cancel at the right time, so that you won't spend 2-3 seconds hugging the wall, then jumping up. I haven't gotten close to the highscore, but this technique allowed me to complete the course 10-15 seconds faster.
Basically, you have to be super creative :)

Yeah i know about the cancel but that really doesn't improve it! it's still incredible slow! If you played mirrors edge then you may know about the whole range of control options that could be added to a character to make the whole thing a fast fluid challenge.

Yea and Mirrors Edge was first person too..so u might want to start and compare the game to a third person shooter like Resident Evil 5 or something like that. As for ur tank character thats just ur play style..you'll get better or give up whichever comes first right? . Practice makes perfect and maybe mess with ur speed settings for vertical and horizontal. i keep mine both at 7 and i can do basic 1-1 in around 43 seconds. Not the best considering the world record is 32 seconds but gold is 48, and its all about the route u take too. So u might think the training is pointless but its there for people who think they have the controls down to challenge themselves and for people still learning like urself, its to help u get better. Hope this helps good luck bud.
