there are a lot of long-term members of this forum that are (perhaps unwittingly) spreading misinformation about what's going on. whether they think it was or not, this promotion was not intended to be some sort of reward for being a regular user of this website. the real reason for the promotion was to beta test the multiplayer for lost planet 2, something that would require more people than they would get if they only used avid members of this community. as far as i can tell, the problem started when people began reporting that their codes were faulty. i believe they stopped giving out codes on lostplanetcommunity.com at that point and attempted to figure out why they had sent codes that had already been redeemed. now, they are saying on facebook that they are contacting people who have received faulty codes and trying to reconcile the situation with them. simultaneously, they are trying to work with microsoft on lost planet 2's matchmaking for all the people who already have WORKING codes. apparently, capcom has their hands full. hahaha. but no, THE CODES ARE NOT IN ULTRA-LIMITED SUPPLY, THE CODES WERE NOT INTENDED TO BE SO HARD TO GET, AND CAPCOM MOST LIKELY WILL ATTEMPT TO MAKE MORE AVAILABLE LATER TODAY. this is the best information i could get for everyone who is the same boat as me. hope it makes at least a little sense.

Honestly it would of been a hell of a lot easier for them to contact people having issues with the codes if they had just established a system/email to report it before hand on-site. I'm curious to how they even know who has faulty codes right now, and whose just lying their arses off to get a few codes for friends.

Then they should have advised there was a limited amount of codes. OR say it was a first come, first serve basis.
For those who didn't get a code, hopefully the will release some more. But to be fair, no one said their were an unlimited amout of codes; secondly once news of early access was released there has a huge influx of new members. Its a first come, first serve basis. I can understand your fustration but don't start bashing the site. Capcom is probably trying to promote Unity and that is why is 1 reason why. But the main reason was to reward Unity members who been involved w/ the feedback process. They didn't have to give early access at all.
Now to those having problem, man, all i can say is hopefully Capcom will provide a resolution.
When the codes were first announced on this site is stated for a "Chance" for a code. Like i said i understand your frustration, but at least be patient before bashing. Once again this is a privilage not a right.

although this conflicts with everything i've heard in the last 24 hours, lost_planet is reporting that the redeem codes for xbox 360 were not meant to be activated until TODAY. they say if it didn't work before, you should try it right now. playstation 3 codes are not meant to be used until TOMORROW. i know this is a confusing mess, but i'm trying to relay everything that's being said on various websites to this thread. rhythmik, you're really not adding any actual INFORMATION on what's going on here, it seems like you're just gloating about the fact that you got a code. ask yourself if that's improving this thread or helping anyone out.

No offence, but there shoul have been a note on the incredibly broken front page saying that the codes were in limited supply. I know I'm new here and all, but it's pretty crappy that it wasn't made clear from the get-go.
Ok guys, the sites are NOT BROKEN, they're being overwhelmed. Before the code stuff started, they all ran like water. Now, there's a lot of new traffic so it's getting bogged down.

Look buddy, you can miss me with all that. I'm not gloating and I'm not adding any info because I don't know why they stopped giving codes. I'm just saying be patient and trying to add a little reason to a hectic situation. I'm sure Capcom is aware and working to resolve the issue, like I said in the my last post. Like others, I would have preferred Capcom just release the demo to everyone. like someone said before, Capcom-Unity's tagline should be "Be patient." And more than likely, you'll get an update on this forum first before any other website.
