If you ask me, Lost Planet 4 would make more sense if Capcom created an HD trilogy collection & generated revenue from such to later on develop this hypothetical sequel.

Lost Planet 3 is a joke, should be erased forever from Lost Planet history. LP1, LPC & LP2 have stunning visuals so where is the point of making HD collection of HD games we already have ? Lost Planet World please... :)

You could have simply/plainly said you want Capcom to retcon Lost Planet 3. Anyway, I can easily make the same argument for that Xbox-exclusive fizzle, Dino Crisis 3; Lost Planet 3 is merely an origin story game to the Lost Planet series in the same way that Zero was an origin story game to Capcom's BioHazard series [which is repackaged as Resident Evil outside Japan]
LP1, LPC & LP2 have stunning visuals so where is the point of making HD collection of HD games we already have ?
Great graphics aren't necessarily HD graphics. The 1st [including the Colonies edition] & 2nd Lost Planet games had great graphics but weren't "already HD games". Additionally, 7th-generation release of Colonies edition for the 1st game was no more of an HD republication than when Gold Edition first came out on 7th-generation systems for BioHazard 5/Resident Evil 5. @on-topic If Lost Planet 4 gets announced by Capcom, it would most likely take place on a different planet. There's not much room left to explore E.D.N. III after already 4 games (including that Japanese-exclusively published E.X. Troopers) unless in the case of a hypothetical Lost Planet World

It`s not about the chronology. LP3 is the worst game i`ve ever played. It has broken mechanics&physics, broken gameplay, broken design, broken ideas, broken keys config, broken multiplayer, broken weapons balance, broken .... everything. It`s a waste of time to count all broken things in this game. It brought shame to the series.
