I wonder if devs have read any of our suggestions for LP2 ? I doubt it...

EDIT: Ok maybe one they did. And they gave us DNF Laughing

DNF % - I had one problem with this it should save all stats of the match but other then that I had no problem with it since I had a stable connection and never quit out, others may have an argument but I do not.

Only problem I have with the DNF is that the percentages are a bit unfair. If I play 100 games and I D/C once, that's 1% and not 10%. If my internet quality is garbage (Which mine was for a bit until I replaced the crap modem that ATT gave us), all it takes is 3 games within about ~20 to lose a connection and make me lose experience for 6-7 matches.

Other than what has been said, I still like my idea for putting support weapons on a VS weapon slot. A walking radar/sheild would be pretty cool. It might actually entice people to use the V-Device for a change instead of an Injection Gun or V-Device SP.

Lost planets multiplayer is more or less dying on 360. I'm sure blastarrs from PS3 and I'm sure they have more players I.e. No halo, or gears to snatch players up, I'm sure other shooters on ps3 are good but none like lost planet. I also find ps3 players are less "competitive" and by that I mean they just play for the experience. Even if they lose a lot they probably still play. Where as 360 players give it a grace period or some win quota that if it's not met they quit. Far to many times I've heard on the mic "I'm from halo, cod,or gears and they wanted give this a try" I usually see them for a day or so then they are gone for good. What I've noticed between all lost planets is ranked in E.C. and Colonies was like player matches people had freedom of choice even if the room was "fixed" you still had a choice also layouts and weather variations kept the levels interesting. Where as lost planet 2 all that freedom is in the player matches but with all the competitive 360 players, nobody even goes there same with faction but I understand that one. I may sound like I ramble but it makes sense in my mind......... My other case is that because VS's are so stripped down and very few around to boot. Lost planet isn't what it was, remember on canyon 810 where everyone had to memorize the layout to determine where hardballer was? Or when you would start and about 2mins in there would be 3 evax, and 2 Gan-34 headed towards your spawn? I actually miss those days because that felt like the very essence of what made lost planet so fun Fighting Back.

Halo and Gears 2 are def NOT snatching 360 players. I can assure you on that.  Yes, no canyon 810 really REALLY SUCKED. LP1 maps are light years better than lp2's maps. The atmosphere was just top notch. Even the design of the map where you're in orbit on two crusiers was excellent.

I use canyon 810 as an example because it not as big as frozen wasteland, but there was still an abundance of VSs. As for players where did they go then? Before reach came out I can get a full room and see 5 or 6 different names, now it's like I can't get a full room and have get into some sort of groove of finding the players from the previous "busy" room and hope more join. Tell me why that is? And I know there are other games but I'm sticking to shooters, I understand more games came out since reach.

Storyline:

I like TRisk's ideas for either-gendered main characters. Mass Effect has done it perfectly, so there's no real reason why it wouldn't work... though, I don't care for the names. By using a similar system like Monster Hunter's character generation (pick pre-set faces, skin tones, and voice) you could end up allowing for an actual immersive storyline without taking away the badass levels of customization LP2 allows for.

Take the same way LP2's different "factions" were, and just allow for different parts (armor, clothes, equipment, etc.) and variable color schemes for each of the 4 main characters. I dunno...

Also, I'm tired of fighting NEVEC. I'd like a storyline that's more focused on Mankind vs. Akrid ... and preferably not written like LP1. I know everyone likes to say LP1 had a good story, but it was one big-ass quagmire of anime cliche plot-devices. Avenging dead fathers, fighting the "evil corporation", amnesiac loner main character... all done to death.

Maybe even have the storyline focus on the different snow pirate factions vying for dominance in the wake of NEVEC's downfall after LP2 at first, then building up to focusing on some new threat of evolved Akrid that've come out of hibernation due to the planet's thawing and the massive influx of T-Eng released into the enviroment after the Over-G was obliterated... forcing the snow pirates to once again put aside their differences for the sake of mankind's survival.

Controls, Weapons, Etc. :

Special moves would be cool... more acrobatics with the anchor would be great to have. Picture run-and-gunning in a multiplayer match, anchoring onto the ceiling and using the momentum to swing yourself forward over stuff, etc. Having certain unlockable abilities that tie into an expanded anchor system would also be beneficial, like a "combat landing" where instead of falling from a great height and getting stuck in the "getting back to your feet" animation, your character lands in a different animation totally weapons-ready.

Or some kind of additional maneuvers to get out of being trapped by certain animations. Like by timing it right and using the "Roll" button combo or pressing jump before a certain point in the "blasted back" animation, you'd be able to roll onto your back and slide onto your knees, skidding back up to your feet (a la MHTri) instead of being thrown, rolling across the ground, settling to a halt and slowly climbing back up. Basically, implementing little tricks that a talented player could use to get themselves out of bad situations.

I'd like if each weapon had multiple variants (Machine Gun, Machine Gun II, Machine Gun SP, etc.) but allowing for more customization for each individual weapon. Maybe not in terms of performance-tweaking, but just cosmetic stuff like being able to put a different paintjob on my favorite Rocket Launcher, etc.

Just a few thoughts... anyhow...back to my Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on PSP since my router's still too stupid to recognize my Wii, hence no Tri. :/

I can definitely get behind the notion of adding some more recovery animation options, but am not so sure the anchor should be changed much.  I remember one reviewer calling for the ability to fire the anchor while jumping or falling back in the day, and it's an interesting idea, but I think it would make it too easy to bail the careless player out of a bad situation that he got himself into.  The whole awesome point of the anchor is that it's a great device for traveling, but it's not able to offer people an immediate escape since it has to be fired while grounded, and the animation can be canceled easily by just a few bullets.  To make it more Bionic Commando-esque...  I dunno.  Could be good, could be bad.

So Blastaar, it's still pretty easy to get full ranked lobbies on Live?

I didn't mean all that facial stuff and Mass Effect, not to mention, isn't he/she only referred to as Commander Shepard? From what the Wikia says, their first names are pretty much John and Jane Doe. That's not even trying and would waste even more time for secondary voice clips if males and females had different names. It would work if it was one character with two names, but this is 4 characters with two names, which could be switched for 16 combinations, that would be a bit much.

You kinda have Wayne wrong, he wasn't a loner stereotype. He fought alone because he pretty much had to, he was the only one of them at the time capable to do the tasks required of him. He offered his services and mentioned he was a capable VS pilot when they needed one. Not to mention he's considered a super human like Basil and Bandero are. Those three may have been the only ones with Anchors too. He hasn't shrugged off the help of others, and the plot made it so Joe had to go separate from him, otherwise Wayne would have gladly taken his help.

He was amnesiac, but he wasn't looking for his memories like the majority of them do. His memories came to him, not the other way around. Though yeah he did seek to avenge his father, but that cliche isn't just in animes nor did it start there. You find it in both eastern and western media, same with evil corporations and government using the military. Not only that, it wasn't just about his father, but Yuri, his father and the survival of all colonists of EDN III.

Also just so you know. Episodes 1,2 and 3 were NOT about fighting NEVEC. In the end, when it came down to Episode 5, it wasn't about NEVEC, it was about Desert Pirates being Pirates, it so happen that NEVEC was their target. Episode 6 started you off fighting them sure, but in the end NEVEC had to take a backseat to the current problem, being EDN III and the Over G. NEVEC was more of a prominent threat in LP1 than in LP2 and not by much. Here they pretty much did everything from behind the scenes. That big bad Commander of theirs was only shown for one scene.

As for for special moves, well once i'm done with my final entry for my blog, I'll get to more of that myself here. I do want a wall bounce if I collide with a flat vertical surface though and a quick recovery in the direction I'm holding the Analog stick in if I time the fall right with B / Circle.

The Rebellion Army owns you now...
My MegaMan preference for MVC3 would had been Starforce, but yeah sure, I'll jump on this bandwagon, if X does indeed get in as DLC, there better be gamers playing as him or else this would had been a waste of time and missed opportunity for another Capcom Character...

why not have it like lp1 in campaign but exp like lp2, exept using the default distributes exp to all of your factions? then after completing the game once you can replace him with one of your faction characters if u wish.

There will always be 2 groups now. People who started adventure with LP1 and second group who started with LP2...

I started the adventure with LP: Extreme Condition, I then purchased Colonies, and Lost planet 2 when it arrived. I can clearly see the evolution of the game through each version. Lost Planet Extreme Condition was never my favorite. Simply because its too underdeveloped comparitively speaking to Lost Planet 2. I feel like Capcom is looking to move forward and take the experience up a notch rather than revert back to when LP was less than unpopular.

I do agree however that they should maintain some of the components from the origonal that make the game so unique. Components that the games feel relies on, such as timing.
