since I have nothing better to do at this second here I go
Story
The original Lost Planet had a solid story with a few plot holes I must admit, but it was still an overall good story.
Lost Planet 2 Took the story and made it swisscheese style, so many holes It was hard to follow to this date there are Parts that nether Adamazing or I Understand.
Now I would like a more Solid story like the OG LP, be it a Continuation of LP 2, Sub Plots of LP 2 or the events leading to LP 2 for LP. Something to grasp the player again.
While I loved all the different factions in Lost Planet 2 being hurled back and forth was a little confusing for New Players and OG's alike.
If they had the factions but each factions story line was 1 story and once you beat the whole story for faction 1 you unlocked factions 2 story.
So for instance, Faction 1 starts off and has to gather intelligence on and unknown faction building defensive forces in an abandoned area of an old colonisation dome. While gathering the intel they run in to a 2nd faction who is also there for their own means.
Then Later once you unlock Faction 2's story you follow what happens and find out why they were there while also have a stable story to follow up the events and so forth.
All Concluding where all factions are actually doing all the events for a greater good (defeating something, Saving something, building something to survive) something positive. Or they all are preparing for a great war and to get an upper hand they had to do the events to help save themselves from extinction be it from Akrid, Snow Pirates or a Larger force.
This is just an example as a fluid story is a good story.
Co-op
Now there was only two things negative I can say about co-op, First being Difficulty there was not curve, while some (well most) Co-op games add a curve when adding more players, Like Increasing the Health of the enemies, the damage the enemies take and deal and other factors.
Lost Planet 2 didn't so there really the difference between playing Solo on Extreme and Co-op Extreme was Co-op was a walk in the park it may as well been on easy, its sad but true =(
Now the Second thing, Enemy Spawn Placements. Now Lost Planet as a series has some amazing enemies but once you have played through it once or twice and know where they are to spawn that's it you know where they all are an have nothing to fear or anything to take you by surprise. So in co-op there should be some form of Random Spawn Generator, Where there could be around 6-8 areas where they could spawn in one area so you never know where they are coming from.
This would help re-playability as it offers a new challenge every time, and not the same stale gameplay. And this is coming from a guy who has been playing lost Planet for over 4 Years.
Multiplayer
Now this is a tough one since everyone has their own opinion on how Multiplayer should be. But I'll state some of the Features which I think effect Lost Planet 2's Multiplayer.
Bullet Stun - Now I know there are people who are on both side of the fence for this one, Me I am for it since I know how to avoid it and use it to my advantage. BUT I also know this killed it for many new players.
In Lost Planet and Colonies to get bullet stunned you needed to get headshots this caused the opponent to stumble but required skill to execute and was a rare thing in battles unless you had took the time to learn the weapons and how to use Them.
Now I do not suggest we got all the way back to LP's Bullet stun but tone it down so the bullet stun has set hit boxes for certain areas of a player model. This was it still requires skill to execute but does not limit it to just the head or to the whole body for a permanent stun lock.
Grenades - Certain Grenades in Lost Planet 2 became a spam fest and we all know what they are, Now what I suggest is what was done in lost Planet colonies with an LP 2 Twist. We can select our grenades to an Extent.
I.E.
We can select our Hand Grenade, Gum Grenade, Disc Grenade, Dummy Grenade, Plasma Grenade 1, 2 or 3 But Grenades like Buster Grenades, Flame grenades, Spark Grenades, Chameleon grenades, Energy Grenades and Shuriken grenades, Balloon Grenades, Fire Crackers grenades, Regen Grenades and Warp grenades have to be found in the field and we can only find those stronger grenades in the field once we unlock them.
That should help some Balance issues and stop some spamming.
Weapons - I suggest something similar to my Grenade suggestion Certain models of weapons we can select but the rest we have to find in the field once we unlock them.
Faction Matches - This was a great Idea just executed poorly sadly =(, The downside to the game mode is it offered no reason to actually play it other then a few Nom de Guerre and an Achievement/Trophy.
What I suggest is actually Faction Exclusive Unlockables. Weapons, Characters Models/parts, Titles and other fun little things it would be like Ranked Matches in the original Lost Planet. We had something to work towards something as an actually reward. It keep us playing.
DNF % - I had one problem with this it should save all stats of the match but other then that I had no problem with it since I had a stable connection and never quit out, others may have an argument but I do not.
Other Things
Nom de Guerre - Love this little things I just suggest you remove all Leaderboard Based ones next time.
Training Mode - A little more level and gametype/mode's open for use.
DLC - Maybe if sales are good, Campaign add-ons, more MP Maps and Character Models from other Capcom Games
