Locked: New DLC Map Pack#2

While i am stoked to see new maps coming out so soon, it is alittle dissapointing that the new maps are just 1 old map and a campaign level. hopefully for next maps we get something entirely new.

I also think it would be cool for a faction match to be set up on the new maps so people who buy the maps can find other people to play with.

Tonight I was tempted to get DLC map #2 pack and was close to adding funds to my account. I had my wallet out ready to purchase, then i saw someone posted about problems with DLC map #1 pack. Now i'm on the fence whether to get this or not. The producer, Jun Takeuchi , laugh and think that only hardcore will buy it ? That is absurd! I'm not a hardcore LP gamer. I don't care i get my butt kick. If im on a side full of hardcores... sure we'll win matches.  I've been following this game expecting the developers or producer treat this game with a lot of care and attention that it deserves. So it looks like the game with the most sales and good reviews get the attention right? Because LP2 didn't sell well and also received bad reviews from critics doesn't mean there's no potentials in it. You still have time to turn the table around and get more people to buy it. Where I work at... 90% of the employees there are casual to hardcore gamers who owns a PS3 and an 360. The ones I talk to are around 25-37 yrs old who are willing to buy a game with good multiplayer. Last week I have a buddy from work who likes 3rd person shooters, but wasn't sure which to get. Others were asking me about LP2 so I told them it's a blast to co-op in campaign. I had talked many into getting LP2, but they're not convinced. They read on this forum that the online muliplayer is lacking things that obviously should've been included such as rank match that allows you to party up. This will allow the game to be more competitive. Modern warefare 2 has no problem allowing that to happen. Fair or not it will influence people to create a clan. Yes Capcom people who are on the fence with this game are coming to this forum to read up on it. Now I'm having trouble convincing my co-workers to buy it because they don't like to deal with problems and online match system that's lacking.

Capcom really should think about working on a patch/update for the multiplayer. The co-op is fine the way it is. I have no trouble joining co-ops. The multiplayer online is where it needs some work. I would like the matches to last longer and allow players to join a running match. Come on many games nowadays allow you to join a match anytime even if the time is running out. Capcom is very behind on this. Why not focus on making it convenient and easy to join a running match that way it would appeal to casual and new gamers. The producer seems to be targetting hardcores because the game problems speak for itself. I'm just like eveybody else here waiting for problems/complaints to be solved first before I throw my $ at the DLC maps, unless someone here can convince me to buy it. Capcom really needs to step it up if they wanna bring in more new comers. LP2 has very high potentials.

This same post is all over the forum...please stop posting this...can one of the moderators cut a troll?

How is this a troll post? Sorry Creaure but your just an angry Capcom fanboy, who can stand criticism.

It's the same all over the forum because...ITS A REAL PROBLEM!!!

The faster people like you can grasp that, the faster a potential patch might be decided upon. See capcom wants to just keep their hardcore happy, as long as their hardcore is happy i dont think they give a damn what happens. You are a part of their hardcore, and there are so many like you saying the game is fine, thats Capcom's justification, in my eyes, for not doing anything.

If your cool with droping 5$ for 2 maps you can't play...w/e...but i don't have dough to spend like that. So i want it fixed, is there anything wrong with wanting to play maps i BUY in ranked matches?

Go ahead call me a troll too.

My post had nothing to do with his coments, I've seen this exact same post on 4 diffrent threads, probably more. I don't care about you or him or your little problem....my comment was about the same post all over the forum in places it didn't belong.

Capcom what you need to do to get people buying the map packs is to tie achievements and trophies to them. i know its a pain because you have to go through more red tape, but at the moment people arent buying the pre-order maps and probably wont buy the new map pack because they dont feel like it has much to offer then. if you tie achievements to the new maps people will buy them.

I think if you visit at least 5 other threads where this guy has copied and pasted the same exact post, you'll see what he means.

I kinda think making the maps playable is a bit more important. Adding achievements you can't get won't exactly improve it.

Adding achievements to them will definitely incline more ppl to purchase them, but as the way the game is set up right now, it still only takes one person to make a full room play a regular map.

People really can't be that shallow and/or egotistical to really buy maps JUST because achievements are tied to it, can they?

My MegaMan preference for MVC3 would had been Starforce, but yeah sure, I'll jump on this bandwagon, if X does indeed get in as DLC, there better be gamers playing as him or else this would had been a waste of time and missed opportunity for another Capcom Character...

Yea, and i don't copy and paste i gotta type the whole damn thing, getting tired of hearing it? I am tired of typing it, but until a mod or anyone from Capcom comes on here and atleast tells us they hear our complaints and are talking about fixing things, i am gonna keep posting things like this.

I am not one to give up easily. Hell, i still stick with some games that are LONG dead. And i want to play on, Back to the Island and Helix more!

Blastaar, man you got a problem with my posts, dont read them...simple as that. Same goes for anyone else, i am posting here to tell Capcom what i want, i'm not posting for capcom popularity points.

I dont think it has anything to do with being shallow or egostistical; adding achievements to map packs create a meta-game that offers up new and unique challenges.

I pre-ordered LostPlanet2 and recieved the two maps by doing so, but the majority that play LostPlanet2 online probably didnt, if those two maps had achievements attached to them like "win 30 data post games" or something equivalent im betting alot more people would have bought them.

It doesnt have to just be achievements though, Capcom could add a Nom de Guerre just for that map pack, or even add a new skin if peoples (team/individually) win a online (ranked) match on that map. they have the crown for people who get top10 on the leaderboards and everyones vying for this, why not make them a skin that can be won for winning games on certain maps etc.

This game has so many things that make it unique, Capcom needs to take advantage of this unique quality and use it to elevate the series.
