Fix the lobby system then we'll talk. Still haven't played map pack 1 maps yet.

"The DLC consists of Helix and Back to the Island, two water-oriented maps with special aquatic Vital Suits for players to use against one another. In speaking with producer Jun Takeuchi at last week's Captivate event in Hawaii, the developer shared a number of details about the DLC. No specific price has been set at this time for the DLC, though Takeuchi stressed to us that it would be priced low enough for "everyone to pick it up" should they so desire. In speaking with Takeuchi, however, it seems that Capcom doesn't expect that the DLC will appeal to everyone. Capcom has done extensive research on DLC purchasing habits for their titles and have found that additional content tends to be picked up by the "hardest core" players that enjoy the game the most. With this in mind, Capcom has established matchmaking procedures that will minimize the contact players who have not purchased the DLC will have with the content. "We figured that the people that buy the maps aren't typically the kinds of players that the more casual audience would actually want to encounter online," Takeuchi told us. "They'd probably get their butts kicked."

Thanks for the link, but if I remember thats an older interview.  Perhaps from before release.

It would nice to have some sort of response on the boards about what Capcom is planning on doing with DLC in the future.  I am sure Zero is relaying our concerns (or at least I hope so).

Capcom needs to learn that the trick to releasing map packs is to include achievements with them. Everyone will get them if you can get even 100 extra Gamerscore for doing something silly on the maps. Maybe something like just doing a support weapon attack or something.

Tonight I was tempted to get DLC map #2 pack and was close to adding funds to my account. I had my wallet out ready to purchase, then i saw someone posted about problems with DLC map #1 pack. Now i'm on the fence whether to get this or not. The producer, Jun Takeuchi , laugh and think that only hardcore will buy it ? That is absurd! I'm not a hardcore LP gamer. I don't care i get my butt kick. If im on a side full of hardcores... sure we'll win matches.  I've been following this game expecting the developers or producer treat this game with a lot of care and attention that it deserves. So it looks like the game with the most sales and good reviews get the attention right? Because LP2 didn't sell well and also received bad reviews from critics doesn't mean there's no potentials in it. You still have time to turn the table around and get more people to buy it. Where I work at... 90% of the employees there are casual to hardcore gamers who owns a PS3 and an 360. The ones I talk to are around 25-37 yrs old who are willing to buy a game with good multiplayer. Last week I have a buddy from work who likes 3rd person shooters, but wasn't sure which to get. Others were asking me about LP2 so I told them it's a blast to co-op in campaign. I had talked many into getting LP2, but they're not convinced. They read on this forum that the online muliplayer is lacking things that obviously should've been included such as rank match that allows you to party up. This will allow the game to be more competitive. Modern warefare 2 has no problem allowing that to happen. Fair or not it will influence people to create a clan. Yes Capcom people who are on the fence with this game are coming to this forum to read up on it. Now I'm having trouble convincing my co-workers to buy it because they don't like to deal with problems and online match system that's lacking.

Capcom really should think about working on a patch/update for the multiplayer. The co-op is fine the way it is. I have no trouble joining co-ops. The multiplayer online is where it needs some work. I would like the matches to last longer and allow players to join a running match. Come on many games nowadays allow you to join a match anytime even if the time is running out. Capcom is very behind on this. Why not focus on making it convenient and easy to join a running match that way it would appeal to casual and new gamers. The producer seems to be targetting hardcores because the game problems speak for itself. I'm just like eveybody else here waiting for problems/complaints to be solved first before I throw my $ at the DLC maps, unless someone here can convince me to buy it. Capcom really needs to step it up if they wanna bring in more new comers. LP2 has very high potentials.

How is this a troll post? Sorry Creaure but your just an angry Capcom fanboy, who can stand criticism.

It's the same all over the forum because...ITS A REAL PROBLEM!!!

The faster people like you can grasp that, the faster a potential patch might be decided upon. See capcom wants to just keep their hardcore happy, as long as their hardcore is happy i dont think they give a damn what happens. You are a part of their hardcore, and there are so many like you saying the game is fine, thats Capcom's justification, in my eyes, for not doing anything.

If your cool with droping 5$ for 2 maps you can't play...w/e...but i don't have dough to spend like that. So i want it fixed, is there anything wrong with wanting to play maps i BUY in ranked matches?

Go ahead call me a troll too.
