But, believe it or not, I went out looking for Warhawk. Guess what? The only versions I saw came with headsets. I saw it was price cut to $40 at Target, which, the headset itself, is $40 there also. So I snatched that up. I went to Best Buy and it was $60. I guess I got lucky. So I'm gonna give Warhawk a try tonight after my headset is fully charged. Now I can accompany my arse-kicking in Lost Planet with some smack talk. :p

Think we're seeing a pattern here. Maybe the japanese players on the PS3 aren't as good at shooters as the japanese players on the 360. That and/or they're completely new to Lost Planet. It's fun to just feel like a god against these demo players who are new to the whole thing and don't know how to best utilize weapons. I saw a player keep going for the Homing Laser and I'd kill him with the Energy Gun. There were some crazy funny things that happened in the fights. One such occassion was when the guy across from me threw a disc grenade at me and I threw a dummy grenade at him and I blew up but the dummy inflated shortly after and killed him. So we just killed eachother. It was grand fun. This is why Pirate Fortress is one of my fave maps because it's so easy to find everything and it's not too big so there are a lot of fights happening real close together and it's utter chaos.

Wonder if I'll be any good at Warhawk. :eek:

Hopefully I can figure out how to play Warhawk correctly. It seems like it could be a blast if I knew how to play it but it seemed like I kept getting into CTF matches and the maps are so massive that people would be having battles so far away I'd have no choice but to man a vehicle. I only figured out how to fly the planes, but manuevering them is a different story. I seem to ram into things and commit suicide and suck at dodging incoming missles. Seems you can get different power-ups for the planes so you can shoot out a chaffe grenade and stuff to stop the missles in their tracks and stuff.

Anyway, at least I have a headset now.

Yep. Even on Warhawk, which I'd assume they all should have a headset, didn't even talk much if at all. And one guy seemed like he was trying to talk, but it sounded like the horrible garbled sound you'd hear from when you played on Xbox Live when it first launched for the orginal Xbox. That annoys me.
