I think I'm just a Lost Planet fanboy. I do have to agree with you about the story. But there are many possibilities for Capcom to explore in a sequel. I sure hope they do, and put alot more effort into it. I mean, it's a superb concept for a sci-fi game, it just needs a bit more effort put into quality of the storyline. The multiplayer though, it just can't be beat in my opinion. Unless, of course, Capcom implements the changes we all have been asking and begging for in an update or sequel.
And within your list I see a few I'm planning on getting, but I just don't see them replacing Lost Planet from number one on my list. My interests;
•Halo 3(Limited Edition reserved) •Resident Evil 5(I'll try the demo) •Call of Duty 4(I'd like to try the Beta first) •Orange Box (possibly)
Oh, and if you wanna get a few of the Marathon achievements just spam me an invite. Hah, I'll always play LP. Especially if they fix the issues with the game. Don't worry about that.
I think everyone agrees, though, that the story really needs work. I mean, yeah it's interesting, but there've been a lot of movies about dying worlds that are dying and need help to be restored (Akira and Green Legend Ran) or about planets that are being made inhabitable. It didn't really grip me that much. I got the game because of the gameplay to be truthful. I've never played a game like this as far as fighting on foot or in mech, using a grapple to get around, or the varied grenades. The idea of having a real life people lend their likeness to a game is pretty cool to be sure, but it's been done in several other games, including Capcom's Onimusha 3. It had two, actually.
But when it comes to single player, as far as Capcom is concerned, I'm all about Resident Evil series and Devil May Cry series. Dead Rising is looking to be a good series, too, if they make a sequel or two. I never get enough of zombies. I really liked Frank West a lot more than Wayne. Okay, maybe a lot is kind of harsh on Wayne. I'll say I liked his design. I couldn't see him as the blonde character you have as your avatar now. But yeah, Dead Rising just reminds me of the old zombie movies mixed in with the new. Too bad they couldn't throw in a Street Fighter gi in their for Frank to wear and allow him to run around firing balls yelling "HADOUKEN!" lol.

Hey guys,
Just letting you know I won't be on the forums as much during the day and that anymore. I just finished up talking to the place I wanted to get a job at, and they offered it to me. So, I start tomorrow. Woot.
I'm still gonna post here, but probably from my Wii at home. Anyways, see you all online! :D

Congratulations! :D Thanks! Too bad Capcom USA doesn't need a designer though... haha But this new job pays considerably beter, and is still in the design field. Actually, I'll be designing much more on a daily basis than I do now. So I'm pretty excited!
So hey Brian, did you get my messages on the 360 about LP and disc replacement?

Hey I just got my 360 on Saturday and I got Lost Planet as one of my games:D , right now i'm only on lvl 3 and I need help:confused: on what ur suppose to do against that giant worm looking akrid. In the game they tell u to get out of there but when u try to it just follows u so I usually just fight it and try to kill by shooting the t-eng weak points I got like all of them on one side but usually when it charges at me it usually eats me and I fail the mission.:( So I was wondering if anyone has any tips.:confused: :) :D

You get an achievement for killing it (music will stop), but you don't have to kill it to progress. Just stay the heck away from it and run to the right along the cliff/buildings.

Every time i create a match no one joins. Is it something i'm doing and or not doing or does no one like me?:confused:

you have to run to the big building surounded by a fence all the way to the end right side. you have to run from wormy-thing to get there.
