So are you mad because you fell like you wasted your money? This sort of thing happens with gaming company all the time. If you really thought a few add-ond would be worth $60.00 thats your own fault. Like many of us said if you had it for 360 it would be a waste of money.
Anyways....again nothing official has been said by Capcom, and the release is a long time from now if ever. In a year you may have totally forgotten about the money you spent. It was just bad timing, but that may be why they didn't want to say anything.

And announcing a better, cheaper version of a game a few weeks after a game comes out doesn't happen that often in the gaming world. It happens after a year sometimes (MGS Subsistance) but never with this quick of a turn around.

Actually, the PS3 version of EC was only $40...

Since no plans are there for PS3 users, and so far only content on the 360 and PC can be found on the interwebs.
Again, the reason for this is simple; Colonies is for all intents and purposes, a different version of the game. Hence, my previous comment about PS3's version being the most complete version of Lost Planet: EC to yet be released.

Anyway, do you know why they didn't just brand the PS3 version as LP Colonies as well, include the extra new gameplay modes, and release it day and date with the other versions of the game for the same price, ala MGS2 Substance? I mean, this version doesn't look to be that far off to being with. It would have given the developers extra time to polish the PS3 version as well, bringing up the visual quatlity to the quality of the 360 version, another plus.

I honestly don't know why they chose to do it this way. I personally would have just released only a PS3 colonies instead of extreme condition. But, alas, I'm just a LP junkie and a community mod. My say only goes so far. :(

My say only goes so far. :( Yeah, it honestly is a bit confusing. Capcom already had a big game for Q1 2008 for the PS3 (DMC4) so it isn't like they absolutely had to release LP on the PS3 a couple of weeks after it to turn a profit. Not to mention the fact that they could have saved money on an advertising campaign, they could advertise all three versions at once and save some cash. Also, the fact that this update was in development along with the PS3 version makes it seem like they took resources away from the PS3 version resulting in a less than stellar port which could have been rectified with a delay of the game. And the timing for the announcement of this release is incredibly bad. Jeez. Its like announcing KH2 final mix a few weeks after KH2 releases.

if colonies doesn't come out on ps3 at the same time as it comes out on 360 and pc im gonna be mad. and if i have to pay for windows live service then im not getting it. idc i lost lost planet and have spent a fortune on it so far but no way am i gonna let capcom taunt me by saying extreme condition is coming to ps3 and im happy for months then it comes out and the graphics and sound are horrible then this colonies stuff that has been going on and everyone thinks well extreme condition came out for ps3 so colonies must come out as well. if colonies doesn't come out on ps3 then i ask what was the point of spending like $5 to port extreme condition over?
