Can't say I've ever needed to shoot someone in their spawn from my spawn in the Cube. The Plasma Cannon SP is pretty much perfect for the Cube since it bounces off walls and blinds people and everything. Flamheart has brought up some very good points. The rocket launcher just can't hang with the other heavy weapons. The only thing it's good for is campaign because akrid are stupid. Enemies in online play aren't that stupid, at least not most of them. Rocket launchers are just too easy to get away from due to a slow reload time and the sound it makes when it's coming for you. If you're using a rocket launcher in a heavy weapons elimination match, guarantee you won't make top 5. It doesn't put up the numbers. It's just too slow. The days of the rocket launcher are over.

I agree how the Rocket Launcher is the worst.

The Hand Cannon is just like a Rocket Launcher with a faster projectile, the Plasma Cannon and Plasma Cannon SP fills up your screen and has almost no reload time, Rocket Launcher II kills human targets one direct hit and it gets a direct hit everytime.

The only thing the rocket launcher is for VS's and the Hand Cannon, Plasma Cannon and Rocket Launcher II is good against them too.

For Hand Cannons, they don't explode on impact, though. It's great for VS's. And if fighting one person, it's nice to have it knock them in the air followed by the explosion. But with the time it takes to explode, it's not great for taking out multiple enemies which the regular rocket launcher is capable of doing better if you wanted to aim at a specific spot among them. With a hand cannon, you mostly have to choose only one target. And if you miss, the other guy has time to run away before it explodes, but the rocket launcher can catch more people off guard quicker if they're close together (like at a data post).

And even if you don't kill them with the rocket launcher, knocking them around or making them stumble gives you and your other team mates time to get to them still.

The Rocket Launcher is perfect on flesh targets. I don't see why people are saying that it's not.

I think everything comes down to the person who Is using the RL or PC sp. I just did a game 3v3 with default heavy weapons (Cause the host made custom choices unuseable). And I did just fine with it. Got top killer as well. But thats 3v3 now if it was like 5v5 or 6v6 I'd prolly have a tougher time since I gotta dodge 2-3 more heavy weapon shots. And then I did the same with a PC sp. Oddly enough it was 3v3 again. Top killer in that. Not trying to act like a show off here just giving off a point

Just use any weapon you see fit. From what I've seen everything seems balanced. I got shot with a PC and I took that guy out with a RL before I died. All about the players experiance. Pratice makes perfect no??

I use PC sp more then RL tho since I love using it and sometimes I switch to HC sp and or RL. I'm still good with all three weapons (well maybe not HC sp since everyone keeps moving I can't get off a shot that'd hit there body ><)

 1. Increase the reload speed, 2. increase the velocity, 3. increase the clip size, and/or 4. increase the hit radius and blast damage. Rocket launchers seemed to kill people a lot easier in LP1 because the collision detection wasn't nearly as accurate as it is in LP2, so in this sense the rocket launcher was nerfed and can't compete with the new weapons whatsoever.

1. I agree for my own reasons. sole reason dealing with the single shot bullet stun

2. It seems to be the fastest moving heavy weapon and most accurate in my eyes. (Besides the single target H-Cannons)

3. Rocket-L SP; My reason for not agreeing on this is because it will make the H-Cannon seem less special being able to shoot two dangerous explosive shells after a short delay.

4. Rocket-L SP; Three rockets and damage value is between Rocket Launcher I and Rocket Launcher 2.

Hmm, but that's me.. Let us try this again.

1.Still agree

2.It's current speed is tedious when battle a Drio or Granseed because of their dash ability. (Atleast when one wants to maintain a safe distance because of knowing what weapon combos the opposing VS. contains.

3. The increase in clip size.... seems great for Campaign. For multi-player it would give it too much utility in being an anti-infantry as well as anti-VS  weaponry.

4. Hit radius I do agree. I would like my prey to atleast stumble a few steps after being the victim of a near-death blast

Of course we're not bad.

Oh, and you forgot to  capitalize a letter, you missed a period, and you should probably work  on your sentence structure.

Well, in my experience gaming, especially in Saints Row 2 what with  not too bright AI, I've learned something.

RPGs aren't cose range weapons.

They just aren't.

Fighting in places like Cube, and expecting an RPG (Lets face it,  that's what the rocket launchers are) to beat out the low range, no  reload, deadly plasma weapons is simply absurd! Small maps play to  almost none of the RPG's strengths with only projectile speed, and  blasts being helpful. Range is irrelevnt because you can't move out of  range.

Get in places like NEOS, and Thunderpeal, or even medium maps where  you can take advantage of the fact a rocket can likely go across the  frikking level, and plasma cannons have no shot at the same feat.

Cube practicaly caters to plasma cannons!

Have you been ignoring the fact that it's been stated multiple times  that there's a weapon for every job? Close range combat isn't for the  RPG.

Now, rocket launcher SP? That's more suited for close range, and  almost perfect for cube. It can clear the obstacles, and bombard a  target. Best part is that you can stay in cover. It has 3 rounds a clip,  and doesn't drain your t-energy.

We get RPGs in the  next patch?

Or were you talking about Rocket-L 3 being an RPG because the  arc-ing? o.o

Recently I've become peeved at the usage of PC sp's throughout multiplayer matches, as whoever has it tends to be one of the more dominant (if not, the dominant) player(s) during the match. Having been fed up with getting blasted to bits for the umpteenth time, I decided to set it as my default Heavy Weapon as well, and during a faction match some time ago I can see why it's so popular. Considering you can keep up your T-Eng levels and you can keep it from overheating, it's a force to be reckoned with.

However, I do find it to be -at times- a rather unfair weapon type. A more pronounced noise when firing would definitely help in standing up to it, I would think, as usually when I hear them sizzling in my direction it's already too late for me.

Then again, I haven't attempted to roll through the shots, as I'm usually jumping around frantically trying to avoid it in that manner. Unsurprisingly, it very often does not work.
