No, it isn't very easy to avoid when you have the majority of the opposing team/players with fire-based weapons and there's next to no way to put it out. i have not seen a match where more then 2 people on a team have flamethrowers and if your in the middle of a whole team of them your way to close and u would die no mater what weapon they have. i think i have been killed once with a flamethrower
--->Then either you really haven't played that much, or I'm just getting unlucky. Either way though, the lasting effect combined with a millisecond of extreme damage is pretty ridiculous.
The incendinary grenades do take away a good portion of your health if they blow up near you, and then you're on fire. Four rolls on fire is ridiculous to be expected to do and survive after losing any portion of health to a fire-based attack. so if u are next to a normal grenade and it blows up your dead. if your that close to a buster your dead. if your next to a fire grenade you roll 4 times and u still have some health. dont understand the logic of how that is bad. would u rather u dont start on fire and u just die? u get a chance to keep going and there are ways to get your health back.
--->Honestly, I would. All those other grenades, if you're near them, but not close enough to die by them, you'll get launched. With the incendinary, if you're near it, but not close enough to be damage by the explosion, you'll get launched and catch on fire. If two incendinaries are thrown and you're close enough, you're immediately killed. So they work practically like regular grenades, except there's a lasting effect. And I don't have a big issue with the grenades. My issue is that once you're on fire, you're pretty much screwed. I'd rather be dead than running around yelling explitives, trying my hardest to get one more kill in before I meet my demise.
Elements have been introduced into LP, but only one element and that's fire? There SHOULD be something to counter it, otherwise there's a HUGE imbalance in the game. there are plasmas nothing to counter that, those balloon release grenades nothing to counter that. the old saying goes that counters pretty much everything roll out of it. u can counter the health loss from a fire grenade with injection gun 2, regen grenades or recovery ability.
--->Your point is moot. Plasmas don't have lasting effects. Balloon grenades are pretty garbage anyways. So once you get caught on fire, you have to get away from all enemies, get rid of the fire, AND find some way to heal yourself? There's got to be an easier way, but there isn't. I would be much happier if you water acted the way it did against fire and two rolls max to get it off. Think about it, you're obviously pretty close to an enemy if you're on fire. Now you have to do four consecutive rolls to get it off and expect to survive while being shot at and burning to death? Lovely.
The only reason you like things the way they are is because you like using the overpowered weapons with such lasting effects. um lame. u know me so well.
--->I bet you like Rocket Launcher II and Plasma Gun SP as well.
Why can't I poison anyone? Oh right, this isn't Pokemon! pokemon? what?
--->Pokemon are ALL element-based creatures, each one having an element it's weakest against. Well, they brought fire in, so why not water? Plus, Pokemon is super lame, is that what they're trying to accomplish with LP2? Cuz introducing fire with no counter is a good first step.
