Please tone it down or make it so that only takes two rolls to extinguish the flames. The flamethrower is way overpowered now, taking away about half your life with a direct hit and all of it in less than one second. Same with the incendinary grenades. Even if you manage to get away, you're on fire! So you need to roll FOUR times to get the flames off. That'd be fine if you weren't more vulnerable at the end of your roll causing you to burn faster. If you're still alive after all this, you have about 3% health left. Good luck!
Pre-meditated arguements: You can use the Special Guard ability. Abilities are turned off in ranked matches. Thanks. You can use those weapons too. I don't want to use those weapons. To get all the noms, you have to use all the weapons. Maybe you should check your connection. I'm always left with plenty of health blah blah blah blah. Shut up, seriously. I don't care.
Now, if anyone has anything HELPFUL to say, please do so. If Capcom can just tone it down a bit or make it easier to extinguish the flames, that would be awesome. Also, I don't feel that flamethrowers and incendinary grenades should work underwater at all, let alone being on fire while underwater. It just makes absolutely no sense to me and that would be an awesome downfall to the weapon since they are overpowered and they're the only weapons that cause you to lose health after the attack is over.

1) Keep your distance. 2) Roll out of the way once they start shooting. 3) Use the quick turn buttons after rolling to aim at the enemy quicker before they have time to turn around. A gun sword up close usually takes care of flamethrower users quick so I don't lose too much health. 4) Use/unlock Regen grenades to refill on health.

I agree. It needs to be toned down big time.

I never got hit with a flamethrower until the patch came. But as soon as I saw the flames, and before I could even react...I was dead. So yeah I don't know any strategies besides keep your distance and most definitely expect it at all times. I guess now the flamethrower will be the short range of choice on small maps. In a way buffing it's power makes sense as if someone gets that close to you, then setting them on fire seems like the way to go. But since a lot of people like to run up on you this is might change strategies and make mid range battles become more frequent on the small maps if more people realizes the potency of the flamethrower and incendiary nades now.

Nobody is complaing about the one shot kill from a shotgun blast. The flamethrower needed a buff but I do agree about the length of time that you are on fire. You know you are more than likely going to die so run towards the nearest opponent guns blazing.

Thanks for taking me so literally Goufunaki haha. You're talking about trying to strike back before it's too late, then most likely dying soon thereafter, and/or healing yourself after such an attack, right? If nothing is done to tone the fire down or make it easier, then there should be something to counter fire. Am I wrong? Perhaps a water-based support weapon would suffice? Or those silly balloon grenades (since they're good for nothing)? Or like I said earlier, having the environment play a role in extinguishing the flames. What are your thoughts on the topic?

Stop. Drop. Roll.
I'm not even joking, depending on the fire, 2-3 rolls puts it out.

I like this idea of yours. Having a high pressure water cannon/pistol/sprayer/thrower/balloon (depends on which weapon class you want it in) would be like extra LP2 awesomeness for the already existing LP2 awesomeness. And when people get hit by the water, they fly backwards (you know, that's what high pressure does) and start slipping if the wanna move (wet + floor = slapstick comedy fall) or they could be stickied like the web shooting akrid does with you. Then they would first have to burn down the web before they can move again.

Four rolls in online multiplayer. Two rolls in online co-op. Four rolls on fire and you're lucky to be alive.
