with a simple kick/ban system it would only take what 30 sec to hide your charecter and go into a menu and boot the player on the other team.  oh and then 2 min later boot the next guy...and so on.  why only do it when your loosing.  someone has a high level and on the other team just boot him in the first 30 sec of the game.  get an easy win for the host.

I doubt this will be the major issue that you predict it to be. It would take a special kind of Douche-bag to go through every game booting the other team at the first sign of defeat. There may be a few people who do it, but I don't think you'll be booted for winning every third game you play.

well you only need a kick/ban if there is a special kind of Douche-bag on the other team so having a kick/ban is not needed because those people are few, right?

I see what you did there...

It's not often that you need to kick someone in Halo 3, but aren't you glad you can when some idiot starts betraying? I think as long as the game itself initiates the kick option (Like Halo 3, you can only kick if the person has TK'ed), the system won't be abused nearly as much as if the player can kick willy-nilly.

I think it is very important. When LP first launched we would have to restart rooms over and over to get all our friends in one room. I know its sounds messed up but if there was a kick feature it would have made things alot easier. Also I don't know about you but Ive had people that are either lag switching or just have downloads going while they play and lag horribly. Now we all have had that happen but sometimes the person comes back over and over ruining the night for my friends and I. I don't see the problem if you get kicked for lagging or maybe a little too much trash talkin so what find another room.  Or maybe stop doing what your doing to get you booted. A kick feature is the only way to solve these kind of problems, and a vote system is the most fair and democratic solution.

If your fighting against a kick feature you must like to cause problems. Who would ask for a developer to add less functionality to a game? Especially when this works well in other games. If you make the default answer vote no then the people that don't care will hit no just to get back to the game. So only if someone is really causing problems will they get voted out and that is a good thing no?

I believe that the voting system should be when a player is going to boot a player it should be when all players vote yes but if one says no he/she himself is booted in order to stop booting of players who did nothing wrong

What if the prick in your party tries to boot someone, but everyone else votes no? Then they'd all get booted, and the prick gets what they wanted all along, to BE a prick.

LOL

I would even settle for host control even though that will divide the community a little.

Forgot to post my official vote before.

oh yea forgot to mention.. im def in for Host control.. vote systems dont work. half the time people dont vote. In this day we cant even get a decent turnout for a presidential election.. what more a vote to kick some idiot out. (come to think of it, it seems like the same thing) Foot in mouth

It's a lot easier to press a button on a controller than to vote for a president.
