oh yea forgot to mention.. im def in for Host control.. vote systems dont work. half the time people dont vote. In this day we cant even get a decent turnout for a presidential election.. what more a vote to kick some idiot out. (come to think of it, it seems like the same thing)
Democracy doesnt work.........in gaming.

Anyways I added a Voting system and I Picked:
First Vote(To verify Votes in Poll are Accurate)
A
I think and automatic kicking system would work well for Ranked. Maybe 3 separate team-kill instances results in a kick from the game. That way if someone accidentally kills a teammate once, they won't be punished, but a repeat offender will be.
Second Vote Kill it With Fire!
A

Yeah i thought this would be good too. Problem is (and i just remembered this) what if you get a d-bag shooting people in matches where friendly fire is off? No death, and thus auto-boot, but still the annoyance and the damage animations.
theirs no perfect system that'll make everyone happy, so instead they should use the simplest system that'll solve the majority of problems. and that simple system is to give host the ability to ban or kick. any system thats used is going to be abused to a certain degree, but giving the host the ability to ban will be the simplest and most straight forward solution.
if i remember correctly the LostPlanet1 community was actually pretty tight, and if a person repeatdly hosted games but never started a game or dropped out of the game early (which would boot everyone else out of game) people wouldnt join their games. if they did this often enough their nick would become known by the community, and no one would join their games or play with them.
with the system of host banning were able to govern ourselves instead of relying on someone to govern our actions for us. power to the players!
Allowing players to boot via majority vote IS giving them power, lol. Giving the host alone the ability to ban is not.
I vote A.

Hello,
Option "A", with an indicator in the lobby that the host has the ability to ban. After some thought I think kicking in game just serves to escalate an annoying situation. Let the cheater play one game and then give the host the ability to select them in the post game chart, and ban them from all subsequent matches. It's clean, and you dont have to play with anyone you dont want to.
Seventh Vote by EightTree
no matter what systems put into place people are going to abuse the system because the systems going to have loopholes that can be abused. if its majority rule (to boot) its going to both disrupt everyones game, and the majority will almost always be the group of people that continously play together. now instead of having one person thats annoying everyone we have groups of people that will always have majority vote within a game to annoy everyone.
as i stated before (within a earlier post) the host boot system isn't anonymous and because of that we know whos doing the booting, if the system was majority rule then we don't know who the majority is (whos friends with who, what groups play together the most) and this will be abused alot more.
Questionable vote for A, but by Host's Decision Only
A
I like the Halo system, if a person is team killing repeatedly it asks a victim whether they would like to kick the person or not.
Ninth Vote Genral Shrooms.
I duno how many times Ive said while playing the original LP "my kingdom for a boot option" A - Boot option for all modes
Tenth Vote Fabrikator

LOL
I would even settle for host control even though that will divide the community a little.
Forgot to post my official vote before.
Vote- A
Eleventh Vote TH3RD_3Y3 Ok Those are all the Officially Stated Votes So I will have to Revise The Polls Again Remember Guys Reread the Intro Post from time to time, I changed the Guidelines to Voting on there so it won't get to inaccurate as I had it before.

I vote C No... Gamers should never have this power ever EVER - It causes too much drama - People pay for a game, they should never be prevented from playing in a game in the server of their choice because some 8 year old child decides they dont like that player/gamer/customer. Game companies need to rethink this all together and consider moderating servers on their own. This would be the only way to maintain a civil kick/ban process. If players are concerned about unwanted people from joining (cheaters/hackers) - passwords would be one solution, among other things. Edit: Seems like the OP is not counting ANY votes other than A -- WTG vote manipulation!

Perhaps there's no registration of your vote bcause the OP isn't online right now dude. Also, how would that 8-year-old be able to boot you if it's a group decision? Vote banning or other ban systems have worked great in many games. Also, how wouldpasswords work? This would destroy the ability for any type of matchmakig, would it not? If I wanted a "Password" styled privacy system, it's available through private matches and friend invite only matches. I guess I don't understand what you mean about passwords. Also, to the people who say they don't need a ban/kick system: That's cool that you don't see the need but don't you always like to see more options/features in a game? Why not include the function for people who might need/want it?

That's not a valid argument, because unlike split screen which would not effect anyone who doesn't use it, a kick/ban system would.

If the currently most popular kick/ban system is implemented it WOULDN'T affect everyone else. Unless you go into a match and act like a jerk your teammates aren't going to ban you. :P
