I Had some Stuff posted on another thread earlier so i'll take the thread off and repost it here Tongue out

I just finished Playing the demo, and I have to say, I am very impressed.

The Character movements felt smooth, Most of the new weapons had new sounds and looked beautiful.

The Salamander boss' A.I. was good and felt realistic on how it would charge the player inflicting the most damage.

  • As Snow Said earlier the new Gun sword they added to one of the 4 characters was a very interesting add-on as well.
  • The Rocket launcher still felt a little like it was in the first game but that's a good thing since it was already an awesome heavy weapon.
  • The 4-way rocket pod Looked even fancier and had a better melee animation, not to mention how it looked when it blew up all over the salmander's critical points. Wink
  • The Rifle sounded more like a Rifle  this time, although I couldn't really see how it worked since it could not do that much damage too the salmander. So I will have to wait to see it in action later Yell
  • The revolver sounded a Lot better than in Lost Planet 1 when it just made a sound of a pebble hitting a mat. You can tell it will be a powerful gun in multiplayer.
  • The Rocket-Propelled Handgun also has a sticking feature that sticks to whatever your aiming at, Then explodes. I liked this because it gives it more individuality from the rocket launcher.
  • Also the Running Feature added on helped making the pace of the game faster than the first lost planet where you had to walk or get onto a speed bike.
  • The Vital Suits also had a lot of new features and completely new models, and the repair feature also helped a lot when the salamander started to try to step on me Cry
  • The prize boxes at the end of every level is most likely used to buy new accessories for your character im geussing, I'd have to get a confirmation of what it's really for though.

So yeah thats about it for now Laughing

Just finished Playing the Demo a little more so I have some other things to add.

  • 1. As some other people said the A.I. Team-mates  usually just stood there until  Sir Om Nom Nom(Salamander) ate them. One time I heard four screams, turned around, and saw all four of them get eaten at once while they were staring at it. Undecided
  • 2. I tried out the gun sword a little more by jumping onto the Salamander's back and started hacking at its horns, and I have to say, It. Was. EPIC.
  • 3. I still wish there was a certain kind of way of signalling a team mate to let you hitch a ride on a V.S. I got so desperate that I would try standing in front of it and use the wave tauntYell Although it was kinda a bad idea since I just got ran over and then fell off the cliff into the deep part of the waterfall.
  • 4. Sometimes the Salamander will have its mouth facing the deep part of the water and make everyone drown trying to get inside or, when your getting forced out, it shoots you into the lake and makes you suicide(happened to me twice) - Still i'm not that worried since the game's still under developement so it should get fixed.
  • 5. Also I still don't understand what the "Special surprise" was at the end of the battle, I found the "?" Boxes but I don't know how to use them in the demo Surprised

All that's left to say is that Capcom's making an EXCELLENT GAME!

A lot of good things were added that made me feel at home in this new game. The way you guys added all those guns and and VS's helped me think this game has got a really good chance to be one of my favorite games of all time. The bad thing about this demo that i didn't like was how you had to chose a match a person was hosting. I didn't like that feature because usally i can never get into a game. It always told me that the game was cancelled, or the match already started. This really annoys me a lot and hopefully this will get fixed.

Loved the demo, but I would really appreciate customizable controls and the ability to swap sticks for aim and movement in the final game.

Loving the demo, though I have some comments:

Suggestions/Feedback:

1. I'm noticing glitches with collision detection for the VSes with the terrain, as well as the salamander itself. Sometimes a VS will twitch occassionally while standing still.

2. Sometimes I can't shoot my shotgun at the internal core inside the salamander, even if I'm pressing the right trigger. Other times I can fire, and then eventually the gun locks up on me.

3. I do hope that the Salamander doesn't spew out those boxes like a fountain in the final version, because if they do, someone could hover their VS above it and just take it all for himself. Unless, of course, each player had their own boxes spawned and they could only get their own, if you know what I mean.

4. When players fall into the water, they should slowly sink down, and not fall down too quickly. You should also add a rapid-press A button icon so that players know how to swim, otherwise they'll just sink down to their death without knowing that they could swim.

5. The multi-seat VS is nice, however the main pilot should have control over main guns if they are not fully seated, otherwise it's a waste of space for the most part.

6. Would like the melee VS (shield and gun) to be able to move more freely while in the air; it has great dash, but lack of air hovering makes me wonder.

7. Flames coming from Incineration Grenades or the Flamethrower should not harm friendlies when Friendly Fire is off.

8. If all the players do well and don't die, then there should a bonus that allows them all to get S rank. Less competition and more support so that everyone works well together should be contributing to an S rank.

9. Though probably not part of the mechanics, I wonder if it's possible for a VS to have an emergency lifeboat system in the event it falls into the water?

10. I'd like to be able to grapple while in the air!

11. In the final version of the game, try to add a variety of unusual clothing/accessories, like afros, miniskirts, long leather trenchcoats, etc. Also allow for customization of the face, if possible, as some parts of the face are visible in the game, and I'd like to pimp my look if possible.

12. Special co-op missions allowing up to 16 players would be highly recommended, though a lot of akrid should be appearing in those missions.

Considering that all players have a harmonizer, will this affect how the PTX series of VS will perform? If it's a spoiler, then no need to answer. :)

Finally, splitscreen please! At least for two players! :)

If anything else comes to mind, I'll post again. Thanks for taking our feedback!

Great points! On point seven, however, you'll notice that Friendly Fire is actually ON in the demo, hence friendlies catching on fire. Wink

Oh and also when the Salamander stomps to send an electric current, sometimes it goes out before the akrid's legs touch the ground so you have to jump earlier which looks weird since when you touch the ground after jumping, its when the monster stomps and you don't get hurt.

Why don't you juts play solo or host your own match?

That defeats the purpose of that VS, which is co-operative play. You could just use a solo VS instead.

I personally found the demo VERY satisfying. I only had a few glitches occur, like grenades seemingly bouncing off of nothing, or my VS getting stuck on a rock, and not allowing me to boost. I would also like to see to addition of being able to grapple while in the air

Every time i make a game no one can join me.  I had the same problem with the Original lost planet. I was hopeing that it would have been fixed and i could just join a game in progress. Like how Halo, and Cod did when you would join a lobby at random that could connect to you.

Connectivity problems may be more related to your network configuration. Try checking to see that you have a router with UPnP enabled, and that the 360 is connected to your router. Mine is configured that way, and when I host people can connect fine.

There is the occasional error that one of my friends does get though, where they get the message, "The match has been cancelled", but probably more related to lag, and nothing that a quick retry wouldn't fix.
