settings people on fire and then rolling might be cool. but it would either be too weak or too powerful. making them stay on fire until they roll would be too powerful. making it no do much damage but have to roll to put it out would be too weak most likely. maybe if they had piles of snow or something that you could jump into to put it out. i dont have colonies but i could understand why the flamethrower would suck and it would be because the maps are so open and theres better weapons to use. thats really my main thing right now making better less open maps, it would fix everything bad.

Yea, definately understandable. Maybe a short on-fire period of 3-5 seconds, which can be cut short by rolling. Terrain could stay on fire longer.

That, and also a slight stun effect. Maybe even just slow the character down that is being "flamed." I like the idea of the flamethrower, I just always get killed using it.

You see that four pod thing on the guy's back on the left side? We've talked before about what it could be, but I saw a screenshot somewhere else and there was only two pods. Maybe they are upgrades so you can hold more thermal energy?
Isn't the four pod thing on his back just a different style of thermal energy holder? Like you get some which are just single pods which lie across the lower back, or some which look like dual SCUBA tanks? It's probably one of the things you can customise your character with, I doubt if it's anything more than aesthetic.

Something I noticed, and anybody with eyes noticed, is that all the bosses have those large glowing orange areas. Now obviously this is to help the player know what to attack, but it's kinda taking away from the rest of the awesome visuals. Perhaps have an option or unlock to play through the campaign without those orange spots appearing. Replace it with colors that realistically complete the enemy. It'd be an option for the players who know what they are doing.

The Glowing Orange Area's are something that is Part of Lost Planet. It represents T-Energy lying under the Skin.. It is visible so that means that it is a Weak Spot.

I realize that, but....if that large salamander thing actually existed, it probably wouldn't have glowing knees. I don't know how hard a "Weakspot Visuals on/off" would be or how many people would like it, but I know I would.
