Well, the trailer was released like what, 2 weeks ago? Can you maybe tell us when we will get more information? Weeks, months?
Not yet. Believe me, you won't miss it when we start revealing more. But as stated in the trailer by Takeuchi-san, it's going to be a little while before we start talking more. Hang in there.

Wow, I just noticed something in the trailer. At 3:40-3:46 One of the Snow Pirates had a NEVEC helmet on his belt. Is NEVEC still around 10 years later? Edit:10 years

You mean 10 years, right? And who's to say they're still around? I mean, it sort of reminds me of adorning yourself with a skull, or animal claw or something. Very tribal feel to it. NEVEC may be long gone and this is just one of the pieces of history left behind, and their tyranny is still remembered as being controlling and strong, so pirates wear it as a symbol to inspire fear. This is just me running my mouth. Why do you guys think that helmet is on his belt? I want to hear your ideas... =)

Well, it's only been 10 years since the Frontier Project, (However you spell it), failed. It's not like NECEC just went away because of that. Or maybe they did? I don't know. I'll just have to wait for more information. Until then, i'm going to look for more hidden information in the trailer.

It's probably a trophy. NEVEC troops would have been formidible opponents compared to snow pirates, so any pirate who managed to kill one would have wanted something to back up his story when he was bragging later. The recycling thing is a good point as well. When the frontier project failed, if NEVEC pulled out adn left, there would have been a lot of equipment left behing, which would be very valuable to the pirates. The one that got the helmet may have been raiding an abandoned base soon afterwards, so having salvaged such a high-profile piece of equipment would be a sign of power and wealth. I probably waaay overthought that, but it was fun.

I think it is an accessory that you unlock and customise your character with. I doubt it will be functional (i.e. you can't put it on your head) but it would be cool if it was and it also gave you power-ups like night vision or thermal vision.
