You forgot Everyday Shooter. It's not bad. ;)

Yeah, it looks interesting. I hear that it's like Geometry Wars.

hulot]I liked Disgaea, but then they went insane and started down the dark path of character piggyback chains. And I tried Home at my friend's. It's not out yet probably because load times between these chat rooms are 15s+. It's pretty absurd considering how small these venues are.

That's why I love Disgaea. It's like Final Fantasy Tactics, but with crazy ways of fighting. It gets even crazier in Disgaea 3 because I've seen them stack up and then the guy on the bottom swings them all around like a rope and hits the enemies. You have to love wacky japanese gameplay. :D And hopefully Home is working properly when they're really ready to get it out to everyone.

hulot]What about Folklore? I thought it was pretty fun and it seems PS3 is missing a lot of those Japanese-heavy style of games which they seemed to have been inundated with last generation. I'm holding off on playing anymore of it till my monitor gets in but I'm a sucker for card-game mechanics (Culdcept > DMC4 on launch :p ). Even though the PS3 I have is borrowed, I'm going buckwild on eBay picking up some recent PS2 games I haven't had a chance to play since my PS2 passed away: Odin Sphere, Valkyrie Profile 2 (wasn't there a PS3 game with Valkyrie in the title, a pseudo turn-based war game? looked interesting), GrimGrimoire, Persona 3 (!! + since it is an Atlus game), Rogue Galaxy, and I think maybe few more after I get those.

I've heard about Folklore and I hear it can be repetitive, but those were reviewer words. I'll try it for the sake of shutting you up. wrote:

I'll try it for the sake of shutting you up. ;) Yeah, Japanese-heavy titles were abundant for the PS1 and PS2 later on in their life-cycles even in the US so I'm assuming the PS3 will do the same. And no, I think you got it the other way around. It's Culdcept< DMC4.  Good job on the PS2 games. I haven't played any of those but I want to get those all. Odin Sphere looks like a great game to show that 2D sprites are still sick in the head.

hulot]BTW, the Godfather isn't bad. It's pretty fun if you like repetitive chores, which I do.

Depends on what the repetitive chores are. I used to play The Sims on the PC, Harvest Moon on the Super Nintendo, and Animal Crossing on the GameCube. So I can do repetitive chores. I just have to like the game itself. I'm not really big into the gangster/mobster scene. I never even watched the movie. Grand Theft Auto worked for me, though, because I liked how they went about doing it. I could also go about doing it just about any way I wanted to. Leaping out of a golf cart loaded with C4 (which I'd done myself. it wasn't a requirement) and watched it go under a platform and blow up and kill the target was hil wrote:

I had to finally get rid of Animal Crossing DS, that real-time stuff is pure evil, at some point I just got disgusted with playing what really amounted to nothing but videogame representation of consumer politics in a capitalistically motivated environment. And I wasn't trying to sell the Godfather, just defending myself from your incredulous "Godfather? lol" message :p

I'd definitely get littlebigplanet when I get my own PS3 (which will probably be when worth-owning games start coming out) so I might be a little late to party.

I knew you'd say something about Saint's Row. I think I just mean the mobsters/gangsters who are mostly eat spagetti.

Alright, got my monitor the other day and I have to say, is it the monitor or the 360 because what I see is no where near the same quality I had on my 15" CRT. It's 22", like yours Lucent? Maybe the 360 can't output high enough to fill the screen? I'll wait on whether to be disappointed or not after I see the PS3 on the HDMI connection.

PS3 on HDMI makes a big diff on my 32" LCD. Compared to my 360 it's a noticeable change. Only in the menu though, as games look the same.

Is that LCD a monitor or an HDTV? I've tried both component and vga and both have lots of bleeding and big pixels. I'm not sure how to test if it's the monitor or not but I have used it as a dual screen with my laptop, and it seems crisp enough (though oddly not as nice my laptop's screen, maybe because it doesn't have a decent video card? I'm not good with these things). And now my crt won't work with the 360 for some reason....

It probably has to do with the resolution / display settings on your 360 in the System Blade. I use VGA for my 360 as well. HDMI makes a noticeable difference though in my opinion.

btw it's a 720p/1080i HDTV
