So, who thinks someone is stealing Alfred's keys and snooping around his apartment?  Or that Phil's camera will catch some bad guy doing something... uh, bad... in his office?

I say that this is 100% certain... here is how I get this.

Alfred Post - October 15th, 2006

Got home last night and the **** cat let himself out of the bathroom when I came through the front door! That's right. He let himself out. I stepped through my front door, shut it behind me, slid off my shoes, and then heard a distinct "click" as the long door handle of the bathroom was pulled downward by a little gray paw.

Do you think it is TRULY possible for a small kitten to open a bathroom door?  All bathroom doors open IN, so not only would the small thing have to turn that big knob... I would have to find a way to PULL the door.  My thought, someone didn't leave his apartment before he got home and was escaping out the window...

I keep him in there during the day because he gets into everything. He finds chocolate I forgot I put in a drawer MONTHS ago. He unearthed a taco sauce packet from the depths of the couch, possibly from 1993. He has traversed the beams on the ceiling and has taught himself how to open every drawer and door in the house. No shelf is safe either.

A kitten could NOT open a drawer. Come on.  Too heavy.  By the sounds of it, Alfred is complaining because everything is a mess.  If someone was looking for something, they would search the drawers, look in the couch, move items from the shelf... so on.

Afterthought... Chocolate... almost sounds like it was eaten.  On a pet website, I found that chocolate is DEADLY to cats.  A small kitten wouldn't need much. So why is the cat still alive.  Who is the chocoholic in the NeVeC story?  Phil.

Alfred's Post - December 13th, 2006

Who knows what destruction he will wreak upon the apartment just to spite me for going on a trip I don't want to go on? I've warned my neighbor, Robert, about Akemi's demonic ways, but Rob isn't taking me too seriously. He thinks he'll just be able to traipse into the apartment, feed the beast, scoop the litter and scritch the cute lil' cat's ears a little before exiting. I've warned him, that's all I'll say.

If I was told a cat was a demon spawn, I would be cautious... I know cats that much at least.  Sounds like Robert knows that there is nothing wrong with Akemi...

Alfred Post - December 15th, 2006

Anyway, the tiredness is making me feel like my brain is mush. Half the time I think I have left my keys on my desk and I find them somewhere else completely. The other night I came home and found that I had left the door to my apartment unlocked all day.

I don't think so.  Someone took his keys, entered the apartment, forgot to lock the door, and placed them back where they THOUGHT they had been.  Being Phil and the janitor work with Alfred, it would be easy for them to take the keys and easily return them without even being missed.

After all that, my current guesses as to the culprit are: Phil, Robert the neighbor and the Janitor (for being weird).

The "Why not"s
Phil - What would he need from Alfred?  If he works in the same company, why would he need to "steal" info or invade Alfred's home?  Does TourBit plan to steal NeoVenus' ideas!

Robert - Being the neighbor, he probably already has a copy of Alfred's key, being that he already knows Alfred enough to have him watch his cat.  No need to "borrow" them from his work.

Janitor - Not enough to say as of yet...

This ARG is leading to WAY to many late nights...:(...:p

EDIT: I just realized that this is post#111!!  GASP!

i just got done looking at the blog and i noticed that when you play the bluee man group link some of the videos that are playing on the monitors in the video seem a little to crisp and clean. they seen to have been pasted there as the dont quite fit the dimensions of the monitor. Most of the images in the video are of the terminator movies but there were a few that flashed by bery quick that looked like animation. i think the time was at 2:15 seconds there is a spot where the guy points at a monitor at it looks like a screen shot from LP, not sure but just an idea. i am currently playing around wiht the science links to see if they can be some how made into a sentence or something. i have read all the posts and i cannot see where any one has tried this. will keep you posted.

not sure if this has been mentioned, but this image:

it could be upside down. if you flip it, it says, LP.

not to get off topic but the upside down L does look like the greek Letter for "Gamma" and the other symbol looks like a right side up greek letter of "RHO". again just bouncing ideas out there. also in alfreds blog there is a link to the Carl Sagan memorial blog. Carl is one of the people that started SETI. There are a few more links that make me think but i cannot get a hold on the total picture.

1.on the 15th on alfred's blog the sci link is to a story about a man who had his heart replaced with a pump that does not produce a heartbeat. i was thinking if you look at the internal "toaster" is this not the same?

2.on the 21st of novemebr the link to the liquid oxygen fire video....could this be a hint on how the terra formers work?

again i am not sure but just thought i would bounce these ideas out to you guys and see what you think. i get bored at work so i will keep looking and thinking

Found this on wikipedia..

Carl Sagan, an astronomer and popularizer of science, proposed the planetary engineering of Venus in a 1961 article published in the journal Science entitled, "The Planet Venus."[3] Sagan imagined seeding the atmosphere of Venus with algae, which would remove carbon dioxide and reduce the greenhouse effect until surface temperatures dropped to "comfortable" levels. 3 billion years ago, the Earth had a carbon dioxide atmosphere. Blue-green algae and water evaporation changed the earth's atmosphere into oxygen and hydrogen gas. Later discoveries about the conditions on Venus made this particular approach impossible since Venus has too much atmosphere to process and sequester. Even if atmospheric algae could thrive in the hostile and arid environment of Venus's upper atmosphere, any carbon that was fixed in organic form would be liberated as carbon dioxide again as soon as it fell into the hot lower regions.

Sagan also visualized making Mars habitable for human life in "Planetary Engineering on Mars," a 1973 article published in the journal Icarus.[4] Three years later, NASA officially addressed the issue of planetary engineering in a study, but used the term planetary ecosynthesis instead.[5] The study concluded that there was no known limitation in the ability to alter Mars to support life and be made into a habitable planet. That same year, in 1976, one of the researchers, Joel Levine, organized the first conference session on terraforming, which at the time was called "Planetary Modeling."

In March 1979, NASA engineer and author James Oberg organized the "First Terraforming Colloquium," a special session on terraforming held at the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in Houston. Oberg popularized the terraforming concepts discussed at the colloquium to the general public in his 1981 book, New Earths.[6] It wasn't until 1982 that the word terraforming was used in the title of a published journal article. Planetologist Christopher McKay wrote "Terraforming Mars," a paper for the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society.[7] The paper discussed the prospects of a self-regulating Martian biosphere, and McKay's use of the word has since become the preferred term. In 1984, James Lovelock and Michael Allaby published The Greening of Mars.[8] Lovelock's book was one of the first books to describe a novel method of warming Mars, where chlorofluorocarbons are added to the atmosphere. Motivated by Lovelock's book, biophysicist Robert Haynes worked behind the scenes to promote terraforming, and contributed the word ecopoiesis to its lexicon.

Beginning in 1985, Martyn J. Fogg began publishing several articles on terraforming. He also served as editor for a full issue on terraforming for the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society in 1991, and in 1995 published the book Terraforming: Engineering Planetary Environments.[9] Fogg also maintains an active website called The Terraforming Information Pages.

I was in the middle of a small post with some random info, then Alfred came online and... yeah.  This happened..........:D

Ever wonder why it sometimes takes Alfred a while to right a short sentence... we know why now.  Hidden TEXT!!

Edit: This may look like something new he is doing.  How long he has been doing it and how long after he will do it is unknown.  After reading through past copy/paste conversations, nothing was found.  Still... tight as hell.

If you have any archived Alfred convos, reopen them and select all.  He likes  to hide messages in white text.  Here is a convo I had with him tonight.  The bold text was hidden:

argodaemon: Hello Alfred, long time no see!
alfredalannevec: hello sir
argodaemon: Poor Phil, I think you are going to give him a stroke.
alfredalannevec: I very nearly did with Chocolate Bomb
alfredalannevec: he needs a rest - we all do
argodaemon: he thought he was being smart...
argodaemon: but you are smarter
alfredalannevec: for now when one door closes
argodaemon: he must not be at the office too much for you to be able to plant the chocolate all the time?  Does he take extended lunches or something?
alfredalannevec: He's one of those people who has a pretty specific schedule - always takes lunch at 12 - goes for a run at 3 - never in before 8, but never later than 8:15
argodaemon: ha, he exercises at work?
alfredalannevec: we have showers there is more I can't share now
argodaemon: ah
argodaemon: How's Akemi the demon cat doing? Staying out of trouble I hope?
alfredalannevec: he just walked by actually - he ran his drills for the night
alfredalannevec: so he is calm right now
argodaemon: for all the destrution he causes when you are at work, it must be hell to control him when you are home.
alfredalannevec: He loves me when I am home
alfredalannevec: I think he just misses me when I am out
argodaemon: Do you have a webcam at your place?  It might be a good idea to keep an I on the cat at work.  If you know what he gets into, you may be able to prevent it a little more.
alfredalannevec: I just bought a door jam
alfredalannevec: so that I can lock him in the bathroom better
alfredalannevec: hopefully that will solve the problem
argodaemon: haha, sad you have to do that to a cat
alfredalannevec: he gets run of the house when I am home
alfredalannevec: and I am hopinf he grows out ofit
argodaemon: I don't own a cat (slight allergy) but I know that they will... It just takes a LONG time.
alfredalannevec: yup - I must show the utmost patience
argodaemon: Your patience seems to be running a little slim at the workplace lately...
alfredalannevec: Too much to do in too short a time
alfredalannevec: but we will push forward and hopefully make our deadline
alfredalannevec: I just am figuring there will not be much Christmas vacation this year
alfredalannevec: which is sad
alfredalannevec:  :(   My time is running short
argodaemon: Atleast your christmas shopping is done... more then I can say.
alfredalannevec: hehehe - I should get going
alfredalannevec: havea  good night
argodaemon: goodnight!

BlackHawk127 had this convo:

blackhawk: so have you found a way to tie down that demon cat
blackhawk: any new havoc caused
Alfred Alan: I bought a door jam It's getting strange around here
blackhawk: that should minimize problems

CrackerJak had this response:

Alfred Alan: yup - great movie I think someone is watching me

Someone is watching him... Also, considering he says he can't say more after inquiring about Phil means that Phil plays a larger part to come later... I may have been right earlier... we need more INFO!

OK HUGE updates today it all started with an away msg when Alfred signed on today it read 11 10 42 --- 4-12-9-28-4-12-5-18-18
This decodes to 11/10/42 Churchill
This refers to a speech by Churchill given on that date
http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:Ru … =firefox-a
*this was confirmed by asking him later on*
Blog updates of Alfred
The following words were found in the source code for Alfred’s latest blog update:
Deadline has an interesting etymology (The sense of deadline meaning a time limit was originally newspaper jargon and first appears in 1920. It is an Americanism. It may derive from printing jargon referring to a guide that is placed on the press to keep the type in place. This sense appears a few years earlier.
The sense meaning a line around a prison where the prisoner's will be shot if they cross it, comes from the 1860s and prison camps during the American Civil War. The angling sense dates to 1860 or perhaps a bit earlier. These may or may not have had an influence on the newspaper term.)
I must admit, the more I think about this party the more I feel like Bilbo on his birthday, I just want to put on the damned ring and disappear!
I know there are a lot of people out there who have asked me about NeVeC. If you want to see what they are REALLY about I can help you crash the big party. Besides the more eyewitnesses I have there, the better, right? Go to ARTP and you will find answers there.
The artp site led us to an update at the bottom of the page from the "southy boys" and after examination of the source code in project leads the link is given.  *this link leads to a password blocked site pass and username pending*
www.neovenusconstruction.com/frontierproject/party
2 more links are found leading to the same supposed press release
http://www.tourbitaerospace.com/pr.html
http://www.neovenusconstruction.com/pr_111.html
however on the tourbit site careful examination of the Braille window *only viewable on the press release page* the msg "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so." quoted from genesis 1:11, hmm that number again.
