MrMudd,

My card is overclocked,my memory has tighter timings,my processor is a little better and I am using drivers 158.42.

Besides that I think the cave performance test is CPU dependent,I had peaks of almost 90 fps in the cave while playing and in the snow it never went above the 60 fps.

Your CPU is holding back your GTX.

You're absolutely right about the CPU dependency in the cave part. That goes for both CPU architecture, clocks and number of cores (Concurrent Operations).

Not sure that your 5200+ is holding back your GTX in general, but in this game it certainly is. The game is CPU limited in certain parts, so a C2D will at the same speed surpass any single A64, and C2Q will surpass a C2D because the game itself supports 4 threads / cores AFAIK.

A 6000+ would certainly help, and 2 * FX-7? / 2 * Opteron 2?? probably even more so, if your misguided alligance to a company is something you wish to keep. You also have the option to wait for the desktop version of Barcelona.

Not the Intel logo but the Intel architecture of the C2D is what makes it a little better, clock for clock the C2D is much faster.

No, never play Empire at War.

About the screenshots, isn't the printscreen and paste thing working in Vista?:

- Press Printscreen button on the keyboard in game.
- Open paint and paste (CTRL V) and save the picture that was captured

I would like to have Vista myself, but present driver support and enthusiast motherboards, that don't support more than 4 * 2 GB is keeping me away.

I would recommend a Core 2 Duo at a high clock if you want to let the GTX really shine and I suggest you don't let a dislike for Intel cause you to miss out on some fantastic cpu's @ excellent prices
