you're not the only one.. pirate fortress is great when 4v4! i always try to keep it 4v4 or 5v5 at most when i host.. 8v8 is overkill.

Believe it or not, there are maps that are FAR larger than pirate fortress in the real game.  Those are the maps where there's a lot more VSes and a lot more sniping weapons around. :)

But it's courses for horses. Some people love the frenetic action of 8v8 on smaller maps. Variety is the spice of life.

Hey Sven any chance there will be a  voice indicator in the final version so we can tell whos talking during the match and in the post game lobby. I had an issue last night where a guy would use profanity every time he killed someone. I wanted to mute him but I couldnt tell who was talking.

Broken, to get that mech out of the water, you gotta use the jump jets, regular jump isnt high enough. The jump jets are "Y", at least on pattern B which i prefer! It jumps almost to the top of the structure!

Some Vital Suits feature double-jump-capable jump jets. Some will also hover, although in Dilapidation you use the double-jump to get out of the water and hop across the rooftops.

I'd just like to state how useless playing any more than 8 people on Pirate Fortress is right now. Why does it seem like everyone respawns within the same spots over and over again. I swear, I spawn to shoot someone in the back while invincible only to have another person spawn to shoot me in the back while invincible only to have someone else spawn behind them in the back while invincible, and so on, and so on, and so on.

Either all the maps need to be 3 times as large, or there need to be more randomized spawn points. That bugs the hell out of me. Thankfully dilapidation doesn't seem to have this problem, though I've only played one game with more than 8 people in that map.

I agree with the respawn points on Pirate Fortress when you have around 10-16 players. It does get very vicious no matter where you are on the map and at times I'm at odds when someone respawns, shooting while being invincible for a few seconds.

The only way I've been able to avoid getting stunned in the back most of the time is keep rolling until I get a good bearing as to who is attacking me from behind and go from there. Even then I still get killed while I'm waiting for the opportunity to attack while the other guy is still in invincibility frames.

I usually do this too. I roll and while I'm rolling I rotate the right stick 'til I see the guy behind me. Then I try to either get behind something or just risk timing it and retaliate when I get up.

I love the demo but the only thing I just dont get it is how come Im on a Mech with loaded with rockets and I find the guy in the opening and I fire at least about 3-4 rockets and still manage to keep rolling, now these are rockets that suppost to do big damage from a MECH and yet this guy runs like superman :confused:
