from what i can tell, you can't use guns that require to hands when your being shot.  for the same reason, that's why you can't throw grenades.

and the different colored battle gauges mean how much is left.  it goes from dark blue to light blue to clear.  it happens whenever the battle gauge is 10,000 or so.  the orange color is the part of the bar being depleted until the next level of it is reached.  i'm assuming they do this so the bar doesn't run all the way across the screen.  i think what i'm saying makes sense.  it makes sense in my head anyway.

Yes I fully agree. I just experienced this last night. I killed a teammate completely by accident when it locked onto him. Its the only weapon that has a lockon functionality. There should be no way for you to be able to lock on to a friendly. Im assuming if the game is set to "friendly fire off" this weapon will not target your teammates. Can one of the mods confirm this.

I also wanted to add that there is no way to tell who's speaking during a match. When someone speaks it should show there name somewhere on the screen so we know who is talking. The same for the post game lobby. Theres no way to tell whos talking in the post game lobby like you can in the pregame lobby. Being able to tell who's talking during the game though is even more important.

Are there any plans for a Capture the Flag mode. It seems like it would be great fun.

I also just want to say that the game just started clicking for me. When I first started playing I was scoring maybe 100-1000 points a game.  Now I can average maybe 2500-3500 points a game on Team Elimination and 6000+ on Elimination. Depending on the room Ive often got over 10,000 points. There was one game I went 12-0 another I went 28-7. Then my best was 36-15 Needless to say but once you really understand how to play the game it gets incredibily fun.

Day One Purchase indeed.

it has now come to my attention something that i can barely stand about the game. not sure why its taken me this long to notice it, but it definitely bothers me. that would be the auto-aim of this game. i mean it is almost off the charts! this is how ridiculous it is, if an enemy gets close enough and shoots AWAY from you, it still registers as a hit and takes life away from you. uuuuuuuuh WTF?!

i mean the bullets could be whizzing past you but the game still takes it as hit and thats stupid IMO. i can't say i wasnt expecting it, this is in third person after all, but this is kinda retarded. all i ask is that you bring it down to acceptable levels that dont make it obscene or as stupid as what i just described sounds.

also another thing that ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO BE ADRESSED is the momentary invincibilitywhen you respawn. all that needs to be fixed about that is that when you respawn and gain it you SHOULD NOT be allowed to fire back until the invincibility wears off. i cant tell you how foolish it makes me feel when i get shot in the back by somebody who just respawned and i couldnt do squat about it. and the inverse is true too, i shouldnt be allowed to shoot somebody when they cant defend themselves back because i was invincible.

now im not saying that was a bad idea to have invincibility when you respawn, nobody hates spawnkilling more than i do. but they should NOT be allowed to shoot at anybody until the invincibility effects go away. this keeps the playing field level and nobody can say stupid crap about dying because the guy respawned behind them and they couldnt do anything about it (which happens quite a bit.

thats pretty much it for right now. the demo is still enjoyable for me, i just think these tweaks need to happen to keep the playing field level and as fun as everybody here knows it is. thanx :P

If you couldnt shoot while invincible how would you kill Spawn campers. I do hope the spawns are spread out a bit more. It sucks to have someone spawn right behind you in an Elimination game.

Another thing is that the melee button/pick up weapons button needs to be changed.  Quite a few times I have tried to melee a person and just picked up a weapon.

I agree. Not sure where exactly they would put it but it does have issues. Some times when taking a Data Post with a teammate you can accidentally slap him while mashing the B button.

You don't need a bar to begin with. The number is sufficient. It is present right here but as a secondary indicator, after the bar. If you could drop the bar, you could enlarge the size of the number without taking more space on the screen.

RE : the auto-targeting on friendlies, I think it is really too convenient if the system ignored teammates. If FF is off, why not, but if it's on, there's no reason except spoiling the player.

RE : Shooting while respawning, I agree that it's really disturbing, but because the invincibility time is too long. Of course I can roll, but being chased down by an invincible foe for 10s is quite frustrating. Especially if you weren't spawn camping at the moment, just being there.

RE : Melee/Action button, it's true that I usually do a melee attack everytime I approach an item/post because I press the button too far away from the item. Maybe we need to delay our action or the developers could expand the "activation area" for the data post so that the action would take over the melee attack from further away.

I had a silly thought about grabbing items, it'd be funny to be able to use the hook to catch weapons from afar. I know it's not really doable, but that could lead to amusing situations.

Is it just me or does Pirate fortress work better with less than 16. I stayed with the same host all night and he launched when we got to 8 everytime but one when we got a full 16. The 4v4 feels just right for the map. 8v8 felt like i was getting killed all the over the place and seems to result in more teamkilling with tons of people throwing grenades all over and such.

I also FINALLY got in 1 game on Dipliation but it was only with 1 guy, lol. The map looks bad a$$ and i think that map would work great 8v8. Its huge, multi-leveled and the new VS is cool. Its got jump jets or something for crazy jumps. I dont really get the going underwater part, (does it do anything gameplay wise?) but it looks great. Anyways, the more i play, the more i love it!

I had trouble getting that VS out of the water last night (first game on Dilapidation) and died before getting above the water line.
