I kinda wish Wayne didn't lose his memory again, and yeah, I found it kind of odd how he suddenly met Luka all over again.
Now that I think of it, that is pretty weird. And how did Brando somehow just appear out of no where in such a huge environment?
To be honest, I think it was just some inside joke about people able to pop up in places with no where to hide.

There are a few things I would like to add, as per the ending. Yes, all theories for the ending are quite valid. Luka, Rick and Wayne could have been seperated for a year and met during the Global Warming Experiment. Wayne could have been in a coma for a year and once he awoke he could have possibly stumbled out during the experiment and met Luka, and so on and so forth. But, one thing does bother Me. During the end movie, Luka is explaining a small part of what happend a year later. While she's on the what seems to be the GTF-13M or similar model, she drops what seems to be a holoimaging cube, it could be possible she dropped more than one on her way to the drop point. The holoimaging cube she dropped was much like the one Isenberg used when he spoke to Wayne in the Volcano Dome, after the boss fight with the large GAB-25M. Wayne had destroyed the holocube by shooting it. Back to topic, once Luka ordered Rick to fire the DataPost, one of them had landed near or on the Holoimager. Could the holoimage cube have given Luka, Rick and Wayne the vision of what they and Yuri had hoped to accomplish. For those whom noticed that the data post seemed to take away a few incches of snow and reveal the lush grass instantaneously and covering the earth for as far as the eye can see. Could be possible she had dropped a few cubes along the way to add a greater effect. Where as the grass that appered would only be by the DataPost, where Luka had gotten the Patch of Dirt from. Or... it could just be Me being meticulous and over analyzing things. I do hope there is a part 2 though. Would explain what happened within the Year after the desctruction of the Frontier Project.
Oh and Joe... not sure where the story goes off with him and why does Joe keep calling Wayne, Commander... but meh.. I'll leave that to a later theory....
Edit: I want more, haha...

Reading all this makes me chuckle. Yes everything written on this thread is logically and probable which is excellent! I enjoyed reading it all. I'm just laughing to myself because maybe Capcom will land on this goldmine and read these ideas only to say: "Wow these ideas are better what we came up with! Lets use one FOR THE SEQUAL!!"
It would be funny but dissapointing at the same time.
Hehehehehehehehehe:D

The story - overall - is just ridiculous, in my opinion. Which is not an exception for Capcom's games.

I think the cubes were being multipurpose or rewired to basically be a marking point for the landing datapost-missles.

I beleive that Luka set down the "Holograms" so that any passerbys may notice them and activate them. Therefore, the passerby will hear a message and learn where she and Rick are located.

I've just completed the game, and the end is seriously strange Luka leaves wayne there.... Joe disappears...... after 1 year, wayne finds luka...... really strange.....in a whole planet, he's able to find her exact position without even knowing her or remembering her wayne loses his memory twice in the game....this reminds me of men in black, when J told K that using too much neuralizer could cause brain cancer....the same is going to happen to wayne, if he keeps holding that thing on the arm, he's gonna face a brain cancer, not new enemies and even more sad, what if wayne was an hologram created by that thing luka leaves on the ground? I mean she talks like if he was dead, exactly like Yuri.....but he appears misteriously.....maybe he's dead and that's just an hologram? you know before the end of the game, icenberg shoots wayne twice, and he gets hit, moreover his technological object on the arm starts collapsing right after the fight, so I seriously doubt wayne got out alive why I say this? because icenberg shot at the object created by YURI to fix the previous's one problems, using only the previous one would have brought wayne to death.....so that's why I think that after the removal of the second one he dies....no more fix for the old one problems means death for wayne. anyway do we have an OFFICIAL ending from capcom that explains better what happened? or as always we must speculate to the end of the days?

i just thought of somthin new, wat if, that place where luka put all the data posts was where the orbital elevator was?(final battle area) and wayne got frozen yet again since he lost his memory yet again, and those dataposts thawed him out!:D

i just finished this game last night and upon reading all the previous post, i'm convinced that the wayne luka saw at the end is just a hologram image she created from the hologram cube she threw on the ground earlier. i see no other reason why if wayne had lost his memory, they only meet up again after a year later.... nice camera tricks near the end, it would have be cool if it turned out to be joe instead since we never learn what happen to him.
