Okay, while the whole thing was disjointed but could at least get the major parts across, the ending really, really irritated me.

So Luka is RIGHT THERE when Wayne fires that final shot.  She's PRESENT.  Then after ward apparantly does not go to Wayne's side, does not help him, does not even ship him somewhere to get help.  She apparantly LEFT HIM THERE?  After "not wanting to lose anyone else".

It's not like "Oh well they collapsed in a huge thing and she thought he died."  I mean, that could have happened during/after that fade to black, but seriously?

Then a year later they happen to meet each other?  Even that I could get over, it's more the issue of she completely abandoned him, for whatever reason, after seeming so concerned that he live.

All valid possibilities, and things I hadn't thought of.  I think it would have just been nice if they showed us a little more of the bit between the end of the game and the epilogue.

I like your version (joke or non-joke, either way she had the comatose Wayne onboard the trailer for a year then he just woke up and kind of wandered out) better than mine.

What I want to know is why stop the Frontier Project? Haven't I been killing snow pirates and akrid throughout entire game and then suddenly I want to save them?

The Frontier Project's main purpose was to terraform the planet and rid humanity of the Akrid threat. However, in doing so, all life on E.D.N. III would be eliminated, even those of snow pirates -- Wayne, Luka, Rick, and so on. Anyone who wasn't in cahoots with NEVEC would be obliterated during the warming process.

Naturally, wanting revenge for his father's death and feeling that human desire to live at any costs, Wayne killed Isenburg (sp?) in order to stop the Project from coming to fruition.

As the ending shows, there were other alternatives to warm the planet, like using the Data Posts. Besides, the Frontier Project would've killed off the Akrid; extinguishing a valuable energy source and reason for a sequel! :)

I can see that. I guess it essentially boils down to the fact that Wayne and co. can kill whomever they please, evidenced by their indiscriminate snow pirate and akrid murdering rampage, and will kill anyone who trespasses that right, looking at NEVEC.

Female snow pirate with her brother and odd-mannerisms-secretive-older-man recruit young-skilled-single-for-sure-cause-he'd-been-frozen-30-years-VS-pilot...

Someone would have to think that there's at least a 50% chance they fall for each other, and I hope Yuri would know that not explaining a possibly familial relation early on would complicate things far worse than it being discovered down the line.

I'm guessing Yuri was concealing the relationship Wayne had with Gale and Mr. Freeze, er, that one guy whose name I don't remember.

As for indiscriminate murder, I'd imagine that there are more than just "snow pirates" that stood to die if the planet was given a mulligan.

Snow Pirates was initially the term used by NEVEC as a blanket description for all people that abandoned the project and/or chose to live on the surface despite the conditions.  I doubt all of them were hostile.

Basically I think Wayne's group was "If it gets in my way, imma kill it, but if it isn't in my way I have no right to condone its death."

I kinda wish Wayne didn't lose his memory again, and yeah, I found it kind of odd how he suddenly met Luka all over again.

Now that I think of it, that is pretty weird.
