No, im having trouble reaching the cannon first, as I am Anchored to the floor several times, or someone plain reaches it first.

My MegaMan preference for MVC3 would had been Starforce, but yeah sure, I'll jump on this bandwagon, if X does indeed get in as DLC, there better be gamers playing as him or else this would had been a waste of time and missed opportunity for another Capcom Character...

If you are third in the room and you use the sprint button after it says go and run striaght to the chair you will always be first to the cannon. There is no way anyone can beat you if you do this.

Anchor stuns you which cancels the run animation, 2-3 hits will make you fall over.
Rolling will also get you there faster, and it will be harder for you to be anchored.

Screw this, I might as well either stop going the easy way out or set up private sessions with others that want to do this and take turns in the cannon.
If ur on PS3 add me up cuz I only did this once! When I play solo it's just more hassle than when I actually play 1-3 alone!
Just did this again, I dont see how anyone is having trouble. Found match after match and went from 70 to 85 in less than an hour.

As far as career points go: If you are by yourself this is the easiest way to earn points without having to "fight" over a cannon(imo): 1-2 Extreme with Superstar The only things you need are: Gunsword(I use the SP though it shouldn't matter), Shotgun, Buster Grenade, Spark Grenade If you're fast and if you don't do the secret area(doesn't really give that many pts anyway), this will take around 8 mins each run That's 17+(guaranteed) to 20+ career points a run That's approximatively 51+(guaranteed) to 60+ career points in less than half an hour It's super fast, super easy, and you'll probably save time from fishing for 5-2 lobbies  Do note though that there's a certain way you should play through this chapter to make it faster

Ima tell you like I tell everyone else: You don't know a damn thing about me so I guess it's easy too try and demean behind a keyboard huh? And btw since you obviously couldn't understand what I meant when I said "alone", I meant without having to join a co-op room and by doing it the way I said people don't have to fish around lobbies looking for 5-2 setups. So you don't have to try and be "third" when you can just do it whenever, even offline, and you can be "first". Tip: LEARN TO READ AND COMPREHEND. Trust me, it'll do wonders for you. Or better yet if that's too hard for you how about just do what your name says.
