what is everyones obssesion with the femme faction...its all you see in campaign and faction matches. i personally think they dont even belong in the game, so my question is...do you guys use them all the time because you like looking at computerized womens bodies or just because your on the bandwagon?
The Femme Fatales faction don't win all the time, but they almost always have a strong showing in at least one match type, or two if they don't win.
Last week I think Nevec won one, and I know the Rounders won another.
If you're saying women shouldn't be in the game, period, then you've earned my never ending ire, and hatred to be blunt. That mentality makes me mad at the entire game industry, and people perpetuating it.
If you mean they should be intigrated into other factions, then I can live with that.
In the first game they were not running around in their panties.
Well the climate has changed drastically in LP2. The Jungle Pirate men go around in sleveeless tshirts, so the girls may as well adorn such short skirts!
Yes but can you imagine what kind of bugs would be eating their legs up? I'm willing to bet there are mosquito akrid on the planet.
but it's just the standard for games to have half naked women, maybe the can give us an update for Dead Or Alive type of bounce?
You need to look closer at the jungle pirate top. The Sand Raider bounces to a far lesser extent. In all honesty though I never notice it in game since you're looking at the character's back almost all the time. I do like my avatar's butt though. *nod*
I'll never get tired of saying it. I LOVE THIS GAME FOR HAVING PLAYABLE WOMEN!!! Especially in campaign even though you sound like a guy.
Look at the genre of Third Person, and First Person shooters, and you can count the ones that let you be women on one hand, maybe 2 at best most likely. And I mean in -general-, not just in the last year, or even decade, but I mean period.
A good many of you out there may not realize it but it's so thoroughly frustrating to find even a half decent game where you can be a woman. It's heart breaking, maddening, and personally ticks me off to NO END that I can't be a female now and then, and it affects some people, not just boys or girls, on deep, and multiple levels.
I know some gamers out there that won't settle for being a guy -at all- because games that force you to be a guy simply oversaturate the market, and I can relate to the more or less boycot of all games that make you be a guy all the time.
I'm a gamer girl, and I feel comfortable being a female in a game. It feels so much better to not be some hulking Gears of War guy, or some Kratos, or some emo guy as opposed to someone I can even begin to relate to on any level.
I hope the trend of allowing you to be a female in game spreads, and spreads. Seriously, what the HELL WOULD IT HURT?!! There's so many games out there that are best sellers that allow the option, and sometimes even make you be a female as a lead character.
I'm passionate about the cause of at least an OPTION to be a female, and I know, and talk to many other female gamers that feel the same way. It may or may not be obvious. <.<
P.S. One more irksome thing is having to unlock the option to be a female. I don't mind it sometimes, especially when it's not that hard, but it's not that fair.
"Americans are an honest people, we expect a fair deal. I know that a lot of other cultures used to think that was naïve and even childish, but it’s one of our most sacred principles." - Max Brooks, World War Z
Carpet Bagger FF wears a skirt that shows the legs, she has an overall design inspired by Chinese Culture, hence the Oxhorns in her hair and the modified Qipao like Chun Li. Theres a color option that gives her tights.
Jungle Pirate FF wears a mini skirt that also adorns the camo design, there is a color option that gives her leggings and tights. Ironicly the White Camo is the one that gives her tights, she isn't all fanservice as that gun on her leg means she is just as ready for battle as her male associates
Way Sider FF wears the Luka designed tights and mini shorts minus the actual shorts, there are color options to give her legging and short pants, but she comes with full attire as her standard.
Sand Raider FF wears a bodysuit, its not a thong, its not panties, its a body suit that is supposed to be connected to her torso. There is an option that gives her the option to wear tights underneath the suit. Take into consideration where she is designed to have come from, the desert. Jungle Pirates may at least get a cool breeze now and then, but in the desert, the only coolness you're going to get is at night.
NEVEC FF wears a a bodysuit that has knee guards, standard issue boots and body armor. There is no color options that "skimpify" the original faction design.
Doesn't seem like they are all designed as skimpy, nor do they have to be, customized characters however, that is the players choice, and you won't know why they made that choice until you ask them.
They all fulfill one fetish that someone has, it's a game you can play with one hand.
Asian styled women with heavily hinted at buttocks.
Jungle Pirate FF is a bondage themed one. Jiggly bra too. The chain dreads are awful, though.
Waysider FF is cowgirl, you can tell from the boots and jackets.
Sandraider FF is the most obvious, showing off the jiggle physics for the buttocks region, and the underboob for the certain styles.
NEVEC FF is more "skintight" suit fetish, you can tell from the very tight, short pants they wear.
@Rebel_Raven (Sorry diden't want to quote your entire post.)
I read a gaming magazine earlier about that same topic of Female main characters, I think the main reason why is that most people in the gaming industry are male, or something like that, and even in the gaming industry it's split up with women not caring about being a female character, and people who are begging to be able to play a game as one.
In any which case, you may have to wait a little bit.

While I'm not a female, nor would I ever like to become one, I will say one thing about the FF faction in this game.
Which would you rather look at all day - A shirtless man with tattoos covering 1/4 of the visible flesh, or a woman with "features" that could pass off as legit day-pr0n?
For most perverted male gamers, myself included, I think it's obvious.

I do suppose thats one way to look at it if you're going to portray the designs in a negative light. And no its not a game you can play with one hand, that was Bayonetta.
Oh and if you haven't noticed, Chains are part of the overall Faction design, the males have even more chains. I already said all I could for Carpetbagger FF, Chinese culture is part of their overall Faction inspiration and design. The Waysiders overall Faction designs take inspiration from both Wayne (Waysider B) and Luka, so if FF is a cowgirl, so was Luka. And NEVEC FF is not short pants, but yes they are tights, just like Valkyrie, who I think of as EX NEVEC designed, also wore.
@Flam: I think its more then...aw screw it i'm not going to even go there.
Support NEVEC in MVC3!Click Here! [Currently Playing: BFBC2, LP2, MHTri] The Rebellion Army owns you now... My MegaMan preference for MVC3 would had been Starforce, but yeah sure, I'll jump on this bandwagon, if X does indeed get in as DLC, there better be gamers playing as him or else this would had been a waste of time and missed opportunity for another Capcom Character...

... What? Someone had to say it.
At least someone admitted it.
As for me I would choose the guy if the game or the situation suited him. Not saying I'm that type of dude that like shirtless men, but I like my characters to match the settings(but it doesn't matter if they are male or female). For example, if I'm playing a game like Just Cause or something with explosions, jumping out of jets at killer altitudes and blowing things up just cause the sky is blue, then I would go with the shirtless man as it would match the epic environment. But if I was playing a stealth game or some alien infested galaxy that only someone in skin tight suits could save(*cough*metroid*cough*best series ever*cough*) then I would choose the woman almost always........unless there are giant cow sounding robots involved.... I'll have to leave that to Snake.
In Lost Planet 2, if I wanna play a bunch of Turbulent Jungle matches, Ranked or I'm feeling Berzerkish, then I'll take one of my lv.80+ character and go with the tatted up or jungle style costumes. If I'm feeling like I just wanna have some player match fun and don't feel like like getting serious, then I'll choose the Femmes since a lot of emotes seem to fit well with them.

I think you're looking way too much into it. Someone can say the same stuff about the male characters. I'm not gonna act like some of the fems aren't fan service, but it's not nearly to the degree you're making it out to be.

Thats pretty much the reason I usually use fem characters if I can. I'd just rather stare at the representation of a woman. Even in MGO where there was little to NO fan service, I still used a fem character 98 percent of the time.
