I am very let down with the LACK of Akrid Hunter in LP2. i mean WTH capcom. that was by far the most fun game mode in LP. you claim you listend to the fans well i am pretty sure the fans wanted Akrid Hunter to be in LP2 so where is it? is it going to be added as free DLC? or a patch? this needs to be added your losing alot of potential players due to this.

God you're obnoxious. Just because you don't like those types of matches doesn't mean people shouldn't be allowed to play them. I like variety. I play everything. Oh, and I've never been able to play a faction match. It gets to 8 people, all Rounders, then it says the host has canceled the match. I don't know why people are even described as "hosts". They don't control anything.

Why does it matter? Who cares about ranked, as long as you level up in Player Matches, who even cares? Besides, it's not THAT bad. Matchmaking isn't that bad. Everything is not Standard, handguns, and rifles. Now finally, people will actually play player matches, and enjoy them.

This also gets rid of those people who were on top of the leaderboards just because they were good at Rocket Launcher Training Facility. Now, being good with a standard weapon actually counts for something (as opposed to LP1 where no one even used them).

Honestly I think you guys are complaining to much. Its not that bad nor is it a bid deal, things change all the time so get used to it.

 and there are plenty of people doing player matches and such, and if your angry about not being able to pick a certain weapon (like rockets) then choose something like heavy weapon for that.

 Plus its a sequel, time to start lowering your standards for things, trust me you'll be much happier that way.

 As for ranked matches, yeah they can start without filling.  I haven't played a player match yet, but I know I have been in an elim match with 14 players, and a data post grab with 11.  So yeah, it doesn't even make sure teams are even, just close since it randomly sets people on the teams.

 As for rocket rifle matches in ranked.  Sometimes it will happen, I'm not sure what settings allow it, but if the vote goes that way. *giggles since votes won't go that way* then it would be heavy weapon or long range start.

 So far I have only seen the vote have standard short and handgun for the weapon.  Usually a choice of three maps of the size selected by the person that started it.  Though the largest map size only had 2 choices I think.  And also for type of whatever match it is, points, battle gauge, kills for elim, post grab and counter grab for data post.

 So just make sure to vote when you get into the room, if you have time, I know that a couple of times I barely saw the characters appear before the match was started.  It ended up sucking me into an elim match that I would not play if I had a choice.

 As for everything else, nothing is ruined.  If you aren't willing to host your own game to get heavy or long start maps, then just wait for other people to start them.  And if you aren't willing to wait for other people to start them then you'll give up and we won't get to play online with you.  I'm not broken up over that.

 For other people, it's true, it does change our choices of games, and affects how often we get in preferred games or avoid disliked games, but it is technically a fair method of getting people into ranked matches.  As for player matches, currently there are fewer playing player matches because most people are using campaign to earn career points and credits, give it just some time and more people will be in versus games on LP2.

Well said.  If I had not actually played LP2 I would of thought it was one of the worse games around.  After playing the game and all it's modes I have to say I am very impressed.

I mean look at how wonderfully designed these multiplayer levels are - they're practically works of art. The customization and the overall online depth are to be praised for sure. 

Maybe we as gamers are expecting too much out of these games any more. Remember the old days?  Ahhh, Goldeneye & Perfect Dark....loved those games.  How about we just play LP2 and have fun?  No game is going to be perfect. I'm sure Capcom will release an Akrid Hunter here via a download.

Again, I am just loving this game. I admit it I am a total Lost Planet Junkie!  What are you going to do about it!?

I have to agree on the level design, its fantastic.

exactly remember the old days, I can list of plenty of games, thats aren't perfect but are still very enjoyable, one of them is "Ys". Like I said, don't have high standards fro anything these days, you'll find a lot more things to be enjoyable.
