lol i knew this was coming. The all "insert weapon here" whores are angry that they can't make broken ranked matches and say they are the best at that weapon. For you few that are complaining....smh. Sigh I guess you'll have to adapt and actually have skill now hahaha 
Don't generalize, I just want to choose between free for all, and team based gametypes... and have a lobby because lobbies are nice, to see who you're playing with and who they're playing as and all that... *sigh*

They ruined rank multiplayer. No big deal.
It's like Uncharted, no one plays ranked multiplayer there, but it doesn't really matter because it's socially accepted that ranked sucks ass, and in turn everyone is in unranked games.
Really though. If Capcom wanted to do the best they could for there game, removing the name 'ranked' would have been a good idea, then just having normal matches and player matches, player being customisable, ranked being filtered to gametype, no more.
Aside that this games pretty great though. Having a blast with co-op.
PS: Another thing I noticed, I was on 14 points in a rank FFA game, first by a mile. My first game, a house fell on me and it said 'you killed yourself' (I know for a fact I did not as I was sniping, whilst scoped) I guess someone knocked it down on me, and it decided I killed myself. REGARDLESS, due to the suicide; ALL my points were removed?
So I kill myself once and I lose all my kills? (about 5-6) What the hell?
The reason alot of games have multilayer like uncharted and lost planet is for the re playability. Also same goes for the charts, people want to be first. It's a competition.

This system sounds way better to me. It sounds as if the only thing the match creator controls is the map and the game type. If I choose my own loadout, that eliminates the biggest issue when sifting through games, which is people who choose less complex, more scrubby options like counter grab with rocket launchers. These configurations make everything less competitive by reducing the complexity of the map. I'm happy they did this, just like I'm happy they don't give you the option to kick players, since otherwise I'd be kicked from more than half the matches I join in Colonies because I'm too good. (Which means, of course, I'm accused of cheating.) (Instead, they try to get even by cancelling when they see me in or by turning on friendly fire so they can troll kill me.) So I get to choose my weapons, and then all I have to do to get into a match is choose the type of game I want to play and hit go? Count me in.

Little off topic, but why couldn't they bring back the original Fugitive! Its the dumb Colonies version of Fugitve - meh.. Otherwise I am loving the multiplayer. Lots of Lost Planet goodness.

I love the way they have it. The voting system makes it so someone who just wants to whore rockets or rifles can't set it up so that they always start with this weapon. Please try and adapt to things instead of just complaining about them. In the long run you may come around.

That makes no sense. People who set it up that way is cause that's the way they wanted to play. Also the reason that the first lost planet was better, is because you could see what your jumping into, before you jump in. The new way is so flawed, in about a month or two you won't Evan be able to play a ranked match because the room will never fill up, so it will not start. At least in the first one you could start it with out a full room. You say adapt, why did you not adapt to rockets or rifles?

A match with nothing but rocket launchers or snipers would be a boring one-hit-kill fest of boringness in my opinion... Look, there's nothing "flawed" about it. If you want your own rules, do Player Matches. You still level up. The only difference is Ranked is... Ranked. (Leaderboards and stuff.) If you could just play by your own rules in ranked then people could be in un-rightfully high places on the Leaderboards when they don't deserve it. The truely greatest players are the ones who are good at the game in general, not just when they get their favorite weapon. n_n
Done with LP2 forums. Too many annoying people, too many annoying topics, so I won't be hanging around anymore.

People find away to cheat on the leaderboards with this setup to. Lagers, save file Hackers, and modders. Making it so you can't play a rank FFA match with your friends will not stop them from cheating. Is there away to start a ranked match without a full 16 players?
