Yea, that thing was pretty brutal. I remember one time I was in a VS and got one-shotted by a GL. I was just like "WTF!?"

The grenade launcher was one of the few weapons I always stayed away from in this game.  I couldn't get a kill with it to save my life.  Oh and you still never answered my last question snow about the game difficulty.

Hey Snow, quick question. Is the Music used in Red Eyes boss battle the same music used in the Episode 3 portion of the TGS Trailer?

You guys talking about the VS GL? I meant a man protable smaller size one. Like an m79 or something akin to that.

There is a difference between those who know the path and those who walk it. I belong to the warrior in whom the old ways have joined the new.

In regards to the male models, the only one that I truly care about from the first game was the Nevec model.
In regards to female modes, I want snow bunny from CE.

The grenade launcher was pretty badass online. Well...let me rephrase that. Grenade launchers were pretty badass. With duel grenade launchers you could launch around 12 bomblets at once, easily covering medium sized maps, one-shotting VS, and quite possibly destroying yourself. The grenade launcher had the highest possible damage for a single shot of any weapon in the game. Quite a bit of a gamble on the other hand.

In regards to awesomeness, the best VS weapons combos were as follows. (The best infantry VS weapons were the VS Rifle, VS Shotgun, Homing Laser, EM laser; in that order.)

1. Homing Laser x2 (Good luck obtaining two of them. With team support + thermal pool; this is as bad as a MW2 AC 130)
2. VS Shotgun x2 (This setup slaughters infantry at close-medium range and one-shots most Vital Suits.)
3. EM Laser + VS Shotgun (Hardballers only. Anti-VS setup. EM laser > Chainsaw > Shotgun > etc.)
4. Duel Gatling Guns (You can't beat the practicality of this setup. Shreds infantry, wears down VS.)
5. Rocket Pod x2; Grenade Launcher x2; Missile x2 (The rocket pod gives you the ability to drop targets behind cover, the grenade launcher can one-shot anything by itself and two give you insane AOE, the multifire missles give you fully automatic rockets.)

a GL with bouncing grenades would be lovely that would explode on the 2nd or 3rth bounce.

Everyone knows there cannot be a sandbox Lost Planet game, because then it would be an icebox Foot in mouth

I think LP will always be a relatively linear experience in terms of linked missions and point to point level design punctuated by huge bosses, but a lot of the features they are working on seem as though they will add a lot of replayability to the finished product Cool

For example I fully expect to replay the co-op campaign multiple times with all of my friends, whereas with other games I tend to play through the campaign once and it's over in 6 hours and I rarely go back to revisit the experience.

Although I do like all the talk in this thread of dynamic weather and akrid attacks in multiplayer, yes indeed! It would relate to the campaign very well I think, in the sense that (at least in lp1) they present a lot of scripted events with the warring factions and akrid as a third party as you step onto the scene. Seems like it makes sense to me!
