Alright, PS3 owners will finally get a chance at the demo. I better see this during PAC!Surprised

It's up on the Japanese PSN. Everythings in English so grab it if you can't wait.

Looks fantastic btw. No low resolution textures anywhere from what I can tell.

Anyone notice the lack of flashlight effect and some pretty toned down explosions?

the explosives didnt seem toned down to me, and i dont remember peoples characters rag-dolling (being flung in the air like that) when caught in a explosion. i am slightly disappointed that i'm not seeing enviornmental effects (rain, dust storms, whiteouts, day/night cycles) as i thought this was a fantastic feature in the 1st game.

I understand what you mean. It was really good but...It just doesn't feel like Lost Planet anymore.

you refering to the environmental effects? imo that was one of the best parts of LostPlanet. seriously how often can a VS sneak up on a group charging a data-post unless they time it correctly with a whiteout.

the day/night cycles also gave (non-sniper) players cover from snipers, and gave the snipers cover to move to a better perch to snipe from.

I think it's a little early to be mourning the loss of the environmental effects. There is no proof they aren't still in the game.

I enjoyed playing through the stages in the demo but I have to say I will stick with the Xbox version. Once again the graghics don't look as sharp or bright as the 360.  Its almost the same as the difference between the first lp on each console (well not quite that bad).

BTW I don't favor any console.

Oh, one more thing. I seemed to self-detonate alot, esp. throwing dummies. sometimes they would just explode and kill me immediately after tossing.
