Can you grapple and pull yourself to people in multiplayer?

You can grapple to vss but not people. When you grapple people it stuns them a bit.

in the end, sniper always wins...

I noticed you can grapple to a VS and set a grenade at it's feet by pressing the grenade button but you do a bckflip off them.

Great hints/tips BTHR Zero X.  Very helpful. It has been a long time, but I can't wait to get back into the mayhem.

You could had done this since the LP1, it works on certain akrid as well, you can fire on them and if you have a handcannon, stick it point blank to a VS/Akrid and there you go. Grapple has more uses then people give it credit for, which astonishes me.

My MegaMan preference for MVC3 would had been Starforce, but yeah sure, I'll jump on this bandwagon, if X does indeed get in as DLC, there better be gamers playing as him or else this would had been a waste of time and missed opportunity for another Capcom Character...

Pulled up ye old coop demo and found the disclaimer ironic.

Most likely they are close to death, because I play mostly with groups. When I get a chance, I'll do a solo run to see if it's possible to kill one with a grapple alone.

Has anyone had any success with changing your characters in the Single Player Campaign demo on PS3, or know how?

Just remembered another tip. On those fallen trees if you aim just right, you can slingshot yourself over them.

I played the single player campaign on the demo for the ps3. The way to change ur character loadout is by holding the designated button during the cutscene. Just hold down the button until you are able to move ur character at the beachead.

Player1 - standard, no need to press anything

Player 2 - X button

Player 3 - triangle

player 4 - R1

I think this thread should be re-named to "Full game helpful hints" or just "Lost Planet 2 helpful hints" with the full game pretty much out now.

My only helpful hint for the moment would be to use the nightvision to your advantage. You can see others a lot easier, except in really light areas. I find it better to aim at people as well; I can keep a more focused aim on them.
