I'm gonna be rude and just say that you and all of the 5000 players who whine about additions and more balanced gameplay, should just keep playing extreme condition. Whinning because you no longer have a broken rifle? You shun a much improved update version (colonies) because you can no longer get your easy two shot kill? Man, the new gen even wants gaming to be handed to them on a platter. Nobody ever wants to work for anything.

and how is this rifle broken again????? have you never heard of semi automatic rifles and im sure the first game sold 2 million and colonies completely failed because of the reason of changing the game play  im sure even hitting anyone with a tiny crosshair from across the map is a challenge so please tell me how i want it handed to me?

dude, if you want lp2 to be extreme condition, prepare to be disappointed. Good thing is, you can always play extreme condition instead. I dunno how you think colonies failed completely. I never had a problem finding people to play with. Yes we know there are semi auto rifles, that doesn't mean they should be that way in multiplayer. Remember, we're talking about balance here. Looking at some of the comments online (www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1PemqtUty0&NR=1), most people dropped extreme condition due to the stuff you're trying to defend. Problem was, like most games featuring sniper rifles, they make the rate of fare to high, so the rifle goes from a snipe tool to a run n gun weapon. Essentially, instead of sniping and actually scoping out people, you have people jumping up and down trying to double shot eatch other. This looks and feels utterly retarded. There's a reason why battlefield 2 is regarded as one of, if not the best, game for sniping. Yes it has the dragov that noobs will use and wast 20 shots and still manage to not kill a thing, but it has the m24 which is a bolt action rifle thats more accurate, has longer range, and is more powerfull. Most snipers went with the m24 while those using the dragov only gave away their position immediately and were killed.  How do you like the lp2 demo?

and i could get 1000 people to defend my cause aswell lost planet is a fast paced 3rd person game and run and gunning is what its all about if you wanna sit in a corner with a single fire rifle and camp go and play mw2

Thats the thing, it is a run n gun game, but running and gunning with a sniper rifle always looks retarded, no matter the game. Run n gun with the shotty or machine gun, but wanting the sniper rifle, a weapon that has high fire power due to the long range purpose of it, to have a fire rate so quick that you can effectively make the machine gun pointless is nonsense. I'd really like to see all these people you're talking about. When i finally jumped on to colonies, I recognized a lot of the people i used to run with in EC. In fact, after booting up EC, it was apparent that just about everyone had moved to colonies. How did you like the lp2 demo?

disagree totally. The sniper rifle is a two shot kill gun. They need to make the rate of fire much slower in lp2 so that sniping is legit. Sick of people playing so many games and thinking they're snipers. Yet put them in battlefield 2 or even bad company 2 and they FAIL epically.

I agree rapid fire snipers (or the 2 hit to fast to Dodge pain in the ass that ass hole/rocket launcher noob that spams rockets and sends emails saying how great they are...............)

I'm sorry want was I saying.

Oh yah no rapid fire snipers.

lmao are you serious lol ive played lost planet since day1 on xbox and every one ive ever spoken to hates colonies because of the rifle shot being slowed down if capcom doesnt have the rifle the same as lp1 then they will definetly loose at least 5000 players without a doubt and the ability to sprint just ruined the game completly not bieng able to sprint made lost planet lost planet, lets just have a quick look at the ratings and capcom will see lost planet 1 was far more succesful than colonies and thats the reason, im just sayin dont fix it if it isnt broke.

If the game looses 5,000 weapon skills players over this (which I doubt will happen) I will be happy.

Personally, I like the way the lp2 rifle is, much more balanced imo. Even with weapon upgrades I doubt it will get the rate of fire it did in lp1. It might get an increase in fire rate with its upgrades so to the dude whining about it, all you gotta do is hog the rifle and you'll get your "SUPER M4d 1337 RIFFLZ!!" back eventually, or at least something similar.

Well, personally I kinda like the way the rifle is right now, if you miss you can still make a recover shot if you wanted to..Having a double shot makes you more careless and you won't really put much effort in actually making a headshot.

My example is Gears of War one, if you reloaded you bullet for your sniper at a certain speed, one shot can instantly cause them to hit the floor and allow you for an easy kill. You don't even have to aim for the head, just hit the body and you basically killed them.

In otherwords my opinion towards the current rifle is that it's good, it makes you want to actually aim for the head, trust me, I've sniped a few bots from across the boss fight map, and even THAT felt pretty fun. It also allows for your enemy to take cover if you missed I noticed...

I am with Blastaar here. And I disagree, running and gunning is not "what its all about." Its about teamwork and having memorable moments with your friends (and entertainment.) And Im not sure if you have figured this out yet, but camping is what a real sniper does. They camp, headshot from across the map, and relocate to keep the enemy guessing. You sir, are not a Sniper, but another guy with a power weapon.

agreed with everything. This way encourages people to actually become great snipers which would make them feared. Instead of running up to people and jumping while shooting twice. In gears, most everyone frowned upon ground shooters who'd then active reload and no scope people to down them in one shot. The snipers who popped heads were truely feared. In GW2, they balanced the rifle so that active reloads don't down in one shot. Like wise, they rebalanced the rifle in LP. I remember being pleased with colonies for making your invincibility go away the sec you shoot or attack in any way.

So something new happened today. Sir Om Nom Nom was excreting me, but he actually pooped me out right on his back. Pretty odd, but instead of asking questions I proceeded in driving the core that I just sent back up back down.

Other than that, nothing new. Same old people not realizing that if you're in the left turret of the three-man VS that you pull the left trigger to fire the primary weapon.
