1-  Orange disc grenades.  Why?  Is it because it could be confusing when the Regen Grenades are green also (green good, orange/red bad)?  Perhaps it is in an effort to make the game a little 'less cartoony' and darker/grittier in it's visual style?  Either way, I find it quite annoying that the colour is so close to that of the salamander's weak points (or any other akrid for that matter).  I'm definitely not a fan.

I sorta liked the new orange color. It stands out against the greener background better, IMO.

2-  Health regeneration.  I know how much people requested it, but I (and many others I played LP with) actually found it refreshing and a lot of fun that once you were hurt you could never heal yourself.  I'll admit, though, that health regen has been implemented better than I'd expected, and a lot better than other shooters.

Still, I don't think it was necessary, don't like it, and I fear for adversarial multiplayer.  However, I suppose "no health regeneration" isn't as exciting a feature to the general masses as it is to me and my friends.

I doubt that the harmonizer will be in multiplayer. And what is wrong with the health regen in campaign? Trying to go through a whole LP level with out regenerating health would be very difficult. It's not nearly as overpowered as it was in the first game, and you don't even have to use it if you don't want to.

3-  VS 90-degree turns.  The way the VS's now have to catch-up/are animated in turning after a 90-degree turn, instead of instantly spinning as in the previous games; I can see this slowing the game down quite a bit.  I'll be really sad if I'm unable to do those quick-turn cannon kills in multiplayer!

Quick-turn Cannon Kills sound cheap, and I for one am glad that it is a little more realistic now. It was always wierd to see the huge VS's turning on a dime instantaniously.

4-  Swimming.  Does that mean there will be no more jumping under water?!  Also, it's pretty dicky to use.

I prefer swimming to the LP1 version of water any day. It was so unrealistic.

PLEASE

Try not to go crazy with the character customization!  Frank West got old quick.  Lost Planet has a really cool, cyberpunk/steampunk feel that gets destroyed when it's inhabitants don't make any sense.  (Although, I have a nagging feeling that it is too late for that.)

I don't know what Capcom will do for easter-egg costumes, but it seems that most of the character customization will be "in character" for the game. (No pun intended)

I agree with Tangaz on the VS 90 Degree Turn. I liked how it was in the first Game.

1-  Dropping VS weapons.  Probably the greatest improvement on the original mechanics I can think of!  I sure hope it is the same in adversarial multiplayer.

I agree, and I believe you can do the same with standard weapons too.

what are "emotes"?

5-  The anchor.  It's exactly the same length, and that makes one feel at home with it.  But also, being able to hang onto a wall without having to unload a clip is a very nice touch.

I thought it might be slightly longer. but I will say that is is faster. I think all the animations are slightly faster and I like it.

Yeah same here. Disc were my fav. But the orange doesn't feel right too me ether. But I think that they were a little too bright before in LP1. I seems that all offensive grenades have been changed to a akrid like color. I'm not exactly diggin it yet.

For Co-op its has been implemented perfectly and is necessary. But as for MP at first I was just like you against any health in MP. I now I think I wouldn't mind. Think about it, if nobody starts with therms then its like fighting over a weapon but instead its life or a VS repair. Also with T-Eng sharing that means people can actually play a support like role. Its great for those that love to grab post.

I'm going to say Yes on the harmonizer in MP.  Just make T-Eng hard to come by, and maybe slow it down a bit for MP

I didn't notice but I agree that this should be quick, but it shouldn't compromise the animation. Don't make it unreal like the 180 degrees spin you could do when your VS first activated.

You can still jump if your feet are touching the ground, and roll also

I do feel that the swim animation needs to be changed. In my opinion it looks lame. But I do want the feature. So I would say since you have to push jump rapidly make it a kick+arm stroke for each press. The faster you press the faster you swim. And it would look so much better.

Whoa whoa!.. dont jump the gun now.. remember there ARE female pirates in LP2 Wink

On a more serious note, I do like the changes made to the VS animations, these are huge hulking machines, they shouldnt move as nimbly as a person on foot, i also really like the stumble animations when u get stomped in a VS.

Wanna hear my silly gripe?.. When you fix the VS im guessing ur supposed to be welding it, but it sounds more like hes cutting it, unless its some super futuristic welder in which case.. Kaaai haf one? =D... also.. why is he welding/cutting with his gun?. LOL..

Im just buggin tho, It really doesnt matter to me, cuz it doesnt affect the gameplay, overall im happy with all the changes.

Alright i'll start off first by saying how amazing this demo is. I've played it atleast 30 times already but alas the giant salamander is chump change now.

So i know this beast is unbelivably tough when you have no idea where the weapons are, but after you've played the map like 30 times, he becomes a little predictable. And so! my feedback is to throw in a few more attacks.

The problem is, when you fight him, he normally only attacks you head on. Yes thats scary if hes looking at you, but can become boring if your always behind him, or far away from him. And seeing how he has the power to poop you out of his tail, why not throw in the power for him to shoot things from his tail from great distances? So hey, you may be half the map away from him, but you still need to stay alert.

The night was black!

The sky was blue

Down the road, thee old salamander flew.

He hit a bump

A scream was heard.

A man was killed!

By a flying turd!

The Salamander needs to be able to fling poo. or spikes lol. amazing job on the game!!!

MOOOOORREEEEEEEEE!!! please :)

o just thought i'd throw this in here, it would be nice if there were more things to shoot then just the boss, as in little salamander babies? maybe he could vomit them, or shoot them from his tail at players. You know a salamander loves its babies when it starts throwing them at strangers with guns :D

He can use his tail spikes and the shockwave to attack people who are behind/far away, but the Idea of vomiting up small enemies sounds perfect. I mean, he already has the spider Akrid inside him, so why not take it one step further and have him vomit out a handful occaisonally?

yes its true he has his tail spike, but 95% of the time you can eaisly avoid it. It's rare for anyplayer who knows what there doing to be in his tail spike range unless old sally turns around to show you his ermmm "pretty" backside. COVER THE CHILDRENS EYES!!!

as for the shockwave that attack rarely ever happens, and when it does happen it doesnt matter where you are you still get hit by it or atleast from my experience of the demo. it's hit me through walls even lol.

not sure if thats a glitch or how it was intended to be.

You can avoid the EMP damage by jumping just before Mr Om nom noms front feet reaches the floor, that way you will revceive no damage..

As for the vomiting of foes...  I think that by increasing the game difficulty level we will fing more opposition...

Here's a thought; how about a weapon or allowing the grapple to... grapple down Akrid? You know, pinning them to the ground or to yourself, so others can beat the living crap out of them?
