Any news about Lost Planet is good news, and giving LP3 to an external developer might just be the isolation that it needs to become a better game overall. I like the way the game looks (it's pretty awesome-looking), and it sounds pretty unique, gameplay-wise. I'm not a huge fan of the giant mech, but since it serves a pretty important part of the story, and you won't be using it all of the time, I think it'll work well.

I didn't really like Jim at first, either, but I feel like he's a unique character. He's not a standard American marine, and he's not just a spiky haired anime hero - he's a guy who's stuck somewhere that he doesn't want to be.

As for the multiplayer, as long as it's LPC's map quality with LP2's gameplay, I'm sold. The only thing I didn't really like about LP2 was that certain weapons were really necessary in certain circumstances, but they weren't on the map (i.e. trying to attack a team of VS users on Thunderpeal Precipice without any Energy Guns in your loadout).
