You guys are forgetting about Lost Planet 2 sales in Japan. There is still hope!

its things like this that are keeping me hopeful for the series, like MonsterHunter it was big in japan before "we" americans finally got our heads out of our **** and realised what a great game it is. im really hoping this game blows up big because (imo) its one of the few shooters that deserve it.

I know IGN didn't have the best things to say, but the fact that the Lost Planet Movie is now caught up in "internal issues" makes me even more sure that there will not be a Lost Planet 3.
And lets face it, we can blame IGN and Gamespot for seriously killing any hype the game had going. I'm suprised Capcom isn't ready to fry someone at those sites...I know i am, i want Lost Planet 3 worse than most, but it just doesn't look like theres any way.
I'm Hoping Capcom does something to revitalize the hype, because i remember my friends saying, "wow co-op demo kick'd ass" before the reviews, then deciding to get RDR after the damn reviews! I know, who bases a game based on a few bad reviews? But they gave me the old, "listen man, $60 is a lot of cash for me, and i don't want to be selling LP2 back to gamestop for $15 in credits."
Capcom, I hope you still got a few tricks left! Please prove me wrong!
That makes me sad. That was a movie I was excited for. It would be like doubleplusAvatar (excuse my Newspeak) in the snow with an interesting story.

I wouldn't be surprised either if this is the last. This game is big, and pretty much everything can be done in DLC. If LP 3 will be requested, they should have a central character again, at least the main character that moves faction to faction. But then what's the point? Nevec's screwed already...DLC is the way to go

Yeah, maybe Lost Planet 3 would focus more on fighting people than akrid because of an even bigger war for thermal energy than Lost Planet 2.

Its my understanding that a big reason Monster Hunter 2 did not release here in the United States was because Capcom America (under the thumb of Capcom Japan) choose to put all advertising and backing for the original Lost Planet... several years ago. Then months ago Lost Planet 2 releases on current gen consoles, with Monster Hunter Tri releasing on the "retro" powered Wii. I can't be the only American that realizes the best game in Capcom's current arsenal IS the MH series whether gamers over here choose to believe this or not. The only people who seem to disagree have either not played any MH, or *usually* have not played ENOUGH monster hunter to have a valid opinion. The gamer who plays MH and says its a bad game is much like the person who plays golf for a week and deems the whole sport bad due to their own impatience and failings. No! Golf and MH are great games, but only to the patient. Getting off my giant grinding ax, here's what I think Capcom should do for Lost Planet 3. Just release a next gen version of Monster Hunter, and call it Lost Planet 3. That way it would sell, people may finally begin to understand this games greatness on this side of the world, and I will finally have the MH I have been waiting for for WAY TOO LONG. I have a close friend bragging to me about playing LP2 in a Rathalos suit. Well, I doubt that suit has the abilities Heat Cancel, Critical Eye +3, and Fencing - so I recommend wearing a Rath suit damn well where it belongs. IN A GAME OF MH!!!

Don`t want to sadden you guys but this link shows sales in second week after premier. It was similar in all countries. LP2 was high in sales rankings, but unfortunetly very short...

Yes, please!! Lost Planet is my favorite shooter series!! And yes, for the record, that is saying something for me. I don't care if reviewers said the second one was meh, I liked it a lot. I still play it sometimes. So if there is a third one, I'm behind it. And please, if there is, keep the customization. I liked it. But regarding story, I don't think that'll be a problem. Although it's all over the place, they could fix it if they got someone with experience. There's a ten year gap between 1 and 2. I want to find out what happened to Wayne! That could lead to a few paths that could explain things that happened in 2. For example, Wayne could've created a peace across E.D.N. III, and then something happened with NEVEC to stop that. Because obviously, NEVEC is still around. So they weren't destroyed at the end of 1. Also, I found the story of 1 to be perfectly understandable. And 2 I got too, so reviewers, stop whining. I got it, so you should.
