thats actually about 2 feet farther back then when i had my 20inch SDTV still hooked up :p and the more i look at the black xbox, i keep thinking, its ugly, and its nothing i really need... i may just buy the bigger hard drive. i have HDMI on my tv, but i dont know what the difference is from VGA or componet or whatever. would i be able to see a better image?

hdmi is alot better than componet IMO and i took back my vga cables cause the otehr games looked kinda crappy. i know at the least i will get the bigger HDD cause i am tired of deleting stuff to add more

what do you mean the other games looked crappy with VGA? i have not tried my new tv with component, so should i? or is VGA better for lost planet?

VGA will always be better than component, Considering your TV process the signal right. Both VGA and Component are still Analog signals, although VGA further seperates the signal, and can support 1080p.
DVI and HDMI are digital signals, and can carry more info in the signal.. meaning even better picture quality, and enhanced color. HDMI ver 1.2 + can also carry a digital audio signal
HDMI ver 1.3 (equipped on the PS3) takes it even further by increasing the bandwith even more and supports even higher color definition, and can carry the new lossless digitial multichanel audio signal (Dolby TRUE HD, DTS HD)

with the vga cables i had (MS ones) the tearing disappeared from most games but it seemed as if the games themselves were acting wierd... LP was awsome with them. it seemed as if the graphics engines used on other games...ie Unreal3...just seemed to lack the pop that is there with the componet cables. also it might just be my TV and maybe i need to go get another one:D i might just have to look at one this weekend and see if i can get a better deal.

I just thought of what would be a fun game on the Wii... a modified version of the arcade game "Bishi Bashi Champ" !!
instead of just pounding the big buttons like you do in the arcade, the Wii version could take advantage of the motion sensing controller.
Now that would be a fun party game.

i think i need a break from my viva crack addiction. its consuming me.... so maybe... (maybe not) i will switch to lost planet tonight. i should, but i start having viva withdrawls and i twitch alot and have seizures. gettting all the acievements for viva seems much more in reach for my abilities than lost planet. but if i dont play LP i will lose my hard earned pwning ablities though...
