truthfully, im not really excited by GTA4.. although I never had been for the GTA series.. Its ok IMO.. but I never thought it was anything special. San Andreas is the only one that managed to keep my attention for more than a couple hours.
I know im gonna get hated on by Lucent, and Windsands for that one :p
So far it just looks like the same old thing, with updated visuals... but even they arnt ALLLL that. Crackdown had more intresting gameplay at least, and the co-op was fun.

I actually still like San Andreas more than Crackdown, overall. I dunno, maybe it's because there were motorcycles and just a lot more things to do in it. I enjoyed all of the 30+ hours it took to complete the game. I'm all for GTAIV. I think I'll actually like this new guy even more than CJ. And GTA has never been about amazing visuals. It gets by with what they can get to allow it to display everything without load times and all that. I know Crackdown did it, but the world in Crackdown was much smaller than San Andreas. It might seem that way cuz you can jump or swim real fast.
Anyway, we need more players for TMNT. At least one. Me, chaser, and Fab can't do it alone. They suck. lol j/k.
dam lucent i have seen you drive in crackdown and there is now way you could control a bike in GTA..lol. but seriously i played it and beat it on the ps2 in like 3 hours not a whole lot of fun. i am thinking i need to do something tonight other than NFS. i dont know maybe i will only play hexic then some LP

How the hell could you beat San Andreas in 3 hours? There are a ****-load of missions. I don't believe it. And I was actually really good with bikes on San Andreas. I even maxed out my skill in it so that I'd actually have to slam right into a wall in order to fall off. I could weave in and out of traffic like it was my job. lol.
And I have to say I'm disappointed with the today's E3 content. At least in the demos area. The BIGS? WTF?! Geez. Looks like the only demo I'm happy about is Blue Dragon. I haven't played Stuntman yet, but I'm not really sure I'll like it. I've seen my brother play it on the PS2. So you listen to a director and complete stunts in order to watch it in a more cinematic replay? Wow... I don't see how we only got like 4 or 5 playable demos when I'm sure they had more there. I know that DMC4 has had a playable demo. They need to get that out.
Speaking of Blue Dragon, I think I'm gonna see if I can't manage to beat one of the levels on hard. lol. Yeah right. They need something in between normal and hard because normal is a pushover (well, the demo is) and hard is like "yeah, you're gonna die". Those Corpreal (sp?) attacks are way overpowered. The 2nd boss you fight in Nene's Fortress was easy. You were supposed to look for a leader out of all those little bots, but instead I just used a Corpreal attack from Shu's dragon and killed them all at once. So much for that. The tension gauge fills quickly and when you have 5 shadows ready to Corpreal, it's over. lol. I do have to say it's definantly amazing to look at. Thought I was watching a CG movie when the shadows became real. I think Jiro's has to be the weirdest because his Ox/Bull shadow looks all frail and helpless, but when he becomes the real thing, he's ready to **** people up. On a side note, it looks weird when you're running around outside of battle. It's like they kind of blurred the game a bit or something. I guess it helps make everything look smoother, I dunno. I do know that I went into the menu and switched out to Zola and made her run directly into the screen at different speeds to watch the boob-physics in action. Top-notch stuff. It's not overly done like DOA. Yeah, I think I'll give my opinion on each character.
Shu- His design is okay, but they really could've done without tie'n up his hair like that. His english voice doesn't really match and I've heard it somewhere before. Not surprising.
Jiro- Hmmm...his he cosplaying as The Great Saiyaman sans the helmet and cape? That's what he looks like. Hell, he could be Gohan with his hair smoothed down. But his voice seems right and he's definantly the thinker. I like how both him and his shadow look like they're contemplating something.
Kluke- Very simple. Just a black, sleeve-less dress with a yellow sash wrapped around her waist. I like her hair, though. It's simple yet that one set of bangs curved to the side just works. Her voice, like Shu's, sounds older than she looks. If you hear the japanese voices, hers is definantly higher.
Maemoro- I think he stole the hat from that guy on Dragon Quest VIII. lol. Anyway, I think his voice fits the best. I like how his mouth moves cuz it's like a cat's mouth or something. I think he likes Zola based on one of the trailers I saw. I can only imagine what their kids would look like...
Zola- Gotta love a pirate girl who seems to know martial arts. Seriously, run around and press X. She does a spin kick. Her main attack his a karate chop to the ground. Hehe. Also gotta love how the young can have white/silver hair. Looks great on her though. I know something else that looks great on her...OH NOES!
Nene- The main enemy, obviously. He's all old and stuff. And he's purple. I love that little pet he has chained to his left pauldron (shoulder armor). It just floats around talk'n ****.
Fab's mom- Oh wait...that was a giant poo snake. :D
Here's hoping it turns out to be a great game despite the seemingly simple design.

thats funny, I made a similar mistake... I summoned this beast from hell, and this ugly midget thing came running.. I thought it was Lucents Mom.. turns out I was just playing the Overlord demo.
The art designs in Blue dragon are good.. but Im not particularly fond of it.. I prefer more realistic looking characters to the "cutesy" almost Super deformed DBZ style. The english voice acting is annoying too especially Shu... its almost as bad as the English Dub work of Naruto............ BELIEVE IT !
But the I really like the battle system.. its prob the best Turn based system ive played in an RPG. Ill prob still play the full version.. im just hoping they have an option to use the japanese audio.

If I recall correctly, the North American version ships with both English and Japanese audio tracks. As for the demo, the graphics didn't seem as great as they were in the trailers but it's a year-old game. Gameplay seems solid, what with the class system and skill learning, though it seems to lack some of the complexities of some late PS2 RPGs. But that's easily remedied if it has as many things to do as Dragon Quest VII did.
E3 '07 in terms of marketplace content is pretty much the same as last year: lots of trailers that were available the day before online, mostly forgettable demos and maybe one good one (Lost Planet last year).

Really? I thought they looked spectacular! I mean anything that's not a cut-scene still looks good but the cutscenes are awesome. The graphics are definantly up there, especially when the shadows become real. And yeah, the Blue Dragon's attack doesn't looke anything like Bahamuts (sp?), no way.
And Fab, you say this is the best turn-based RPG battle system you've ever played? Have you played Chrono Trigger yet? lol Seriously, I love that game. I wouldn't mind if they remade it. Akira Toriyama did the art for that game, too. That's the thing about Akira's work, though; you can tell it's his. And I'm not sure what you mean by realistic against super-deformed. Just sounds weird coming from someone who's into anime. lol. I like both. The only time they need to stay away from cutesy art is, of course, when the game involves a lot of blood and gore. It would be hilarious, however, to run around as a cutesy Jill Valentine shooting up chibi zombies. :p

No I havnt played it yet.. thats why i said "best turn based system Ive PLAYED" :p
yea Im an anime fan.. but I prefer more realistic art when it comes to RPGs.. And I never really was a fan of the Toriyama's work.. Eternal Sonata on the other hand is still anime styled, but I love the artwork in that... Still Im waiting to see something like Lost Oddessy or FFXIII :D
