sorry to hear that bro, how's your portfolio? you might want to do some freelance stuff, maybe check out craigslist and look for small time stuff or do some stuff for friends or family, build it up pretty good and you'll be on your way, your stuff looks good from what I've seen, so I'd concentrate on a vast array of stuuf in many mediums, showcasing your abilities rather than your age. Also good luck on the wedding again...

Yea that's what I've done as far as a portfolio. Freelancing is what I intend to do, but I just don't have the money to buy a computer and programs I'd need to start. I've linked my resumé and my mini-portfolio that I email to other companies. Check it out if you want. Just enter the 3 letter code and hit download at the top right.

The portfolio looks good, though you might want to change up some of the items a bit, they look great but when put together you can see a few of the same styles carried over through out. Again they look great though. You might also want to have some of these designs handy in paper form again in differant mediums to showcase your stuff at the optimum level, you ever take a look at the design packages that alot of the design firms put out to get peoples attention? Those things are great, the creative content that's showcased is mindblowing, but then you also see these great media's that show that they get the whole process, both design and implementation into final form. Anyways hope it helps. :D

Yea I have all of the samples in the portfolio on the media in which I printed them. i carry with me when I go for interviews. And thanks for the layout tips, I'll probably change it up soon. I'm constantly making new small portfolios to send out since most companies don't take the time to scan through bigger ones.

Also do you know anyone in the industry? if so you might be able to ask them what they are looking for in a portfolio. BtW where did you say your at? I'm just asking cause my boss's son has a design company in Chicago, they do design advertising and commercials if i remember right, I'll be sure to ask him for some advice, but it may take a bit (maybe a week) to get the info thru the grapevine, I'll let you know if interested...

I've tried at Capcom, but I don't think they're looking for anybody yet.

I'm about an hour or so away from Chicago(hour and a half - two during rush hour). But yea, I'd REALLY appreciate that! Thanks man :D

I'm just gonna stick with my Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I have 2, both over 14 years old each, and no problems with them breaking down or anything haha!!! :D

Although the SNES thing is true, but also a in a joking way, I have a confession: I also own 2 360s. Both of which have died once each. At least they got fixed, or I seriously would be moving back to my SNES. No joke there.

It's just too bad Microsoft has had so many problems with the 360s, and all that because they wanted to make an extra buck. Losers.

I use an Emulator on the PC for that....:D

*is knocked out*

EDIT: I like the hexagon shapes you used at the top of your resume'. I've always liked those things when they use them as an effect. Makes me think of Metal Gear Solid 2 and or .hack for some reason. XD That was random, I know.

I know I'll probably get alot of negetive feedbck on this but so far from what I've seen of halo 3 I'm not really impressed. The graphics look like they are washed over rebuilt halo 2 at best, of course this could just be the beta and lord I'm hoping it is but so far aside from the promise of improvided gameplay and story mode I'm less than impressed, it feels like they could have relesed this on the original xbox or a wii, cause it sure doesn't showcase the 360 much at all:eek:

i am not a fan of halo. i will have to see how well it looks when they launch it. i might rent it first to see how good it is but i dont think i will buy it without renting it.

on a side not check out THIS VIdeo it is a band comercial for the 360 and it reminds me of me when i play too much LP

lol yeah chaser seen that vid before and yeah, I find myself thinking about many a layout scenario when I'm at grocery stores and such, mostly it goes along these lines:

man that guys got no protection there must head over to the produce aisle's they have better ground protection, that mist for the vegetables might give better cover also... those line would be perfect for a grenade multiple kills there... stand at the edge of the aisle before going round the corner make sure it's safe... atm's are sort of like datapost's must keep an eye out for attacks if I need money... and so on and so on, you get the idea. But that kind of thinking has led me to ome more LP map ideas, would love for one way glass on a few maps so you can see the enemy and attack of course it could be shot through as well :D
